I bought these to try and protect the apples in my two small apple tree apples from coddling moths without using pesticides like I did in the past. They have draw strings and were pretty easy to cinch up on the small apples. I ended up installing 400 bags in probably four hours, when the apples were a little larger than the size of a quarter. RESULTS: The bags were about 80% effective in preventing coddling moth damage. It would have probably been better if I'd installed them when they were the size of a dime. They had the added benefit of protecting the apples pretty well from damage by birds, racoons and deer. That result is better than my past results using pesticides, where at least a third to a half of the apples were either infested or eaten by pests. CONCLUSIONS: The bags are easy to install and remove, but this method does add additional time compared to spraying. They are reusable, so I plan to install them again next year. Overall, very happy with the purchase and results.

There are plenty of excellent reviews left by other customers on these drawstring fruit bags, so there’s no needs for me to repeat those good reviews. However, I just wanted to point out a few pros of using these bags:Super cheap and are easy to close/open the bag’s opening, by pulling/releasing the two drawstrings with little effort. The lightness screen fabric allows good air circulations, sunlight penetrations, and won’t retain water after rain. Though (Cons) the green color will fade away and change into a lighter (white) color after roughly about two months used in full sun.I’ve successfully used these bags to protect fruits, tomatoes, limes from those nasty small critters, birds. And I would recommend using these bags to protect your precious fruits.

I had been soooo excited about these — anticipating that it would solve our squirrels-getting-into-our-peach-and-pear-tree issues. Alas, they don’t work! They look great when you first put them on, sure. But after a few weeks, they look terrible, have holes chewed in them, and the fruit has been ripped from the tree and eaten into by insects and squirrels.These bags are NOT effective at all. Extremely disappointing!!! I am including pictures of what the sacks [some of the ones that weren’t completely ripped off the trees…which many were] looked like after only a few weeks. I don’t feel right returning these, even though I am within the window for returns, because we actually tried to USE many of the sacks (about 40) and all of the ones we tried to use now are dirty and/or havs holes ripped in them from the squirrels. But I am extremely disappointed at this waste of money, not to mention the loss of all of our fruit.Do NOT buy these and make the mistake of thinking they will be effective! I am wondering now how these have so many good reviews… It’s not accurate at all, sadly.
