These connected quickly and easily with Google Home app. No separate app required.But the "warm white/incandescent/2700k" setting is so dim it appears like other bulbs at 40% brightness. The "bright white" is brighter considerably. But, no one outside of a train station wants that color of white in their home! If I'd known the bulbs were this dim I would have chosen another brand.Home lights on soft white need to be 800lum at least!!Points for easy install. Points off for poor light available.------UPDATE: manufacturer has contacted me for input about their product. On their own initiative. Let's face it, this is pretty amazing behavior. I'm upping my overall rating because this kind of support is impressive.

Update again. It's so frustrating. I'm probably doing something wrong, but NONE of them connect now. I reset my nest devices to hopefully get them to work. I'm wondering if it's a Google nest problem. I don't like Google and yeelight now. When it worked first time, they just appeared. I reset many times. I'm going mad.Update. I only used 2 bulbs out of the four so far. They both connected to Google home device. Now one of them doesn't want to connect at all. Reset many times. Easy to connect when they work. I hate this version of the lights. What's the point of creating such limitations. Shame.Seems pretty bright when plugged in right out of the box.... It just doesn't connect. Even the Google home directions are wrong since Google asks for mi login. Mi doesn't have any bulbs with m2 in the name to choose from. I tried them all. Reset the bulb a few times. Nothing. There is no wifi to connect to as a secondary way to connct. I left low star review because I am connect. Frustration. I will keep trying a few more times. If I don't delete this then I gave up on the bulb.Update. Description says no hub required. I feel bad for the low review. It was an impulse buy. I can't connect it and it's my fault I guess. GOOGLE ONLY needs to be in the title.

Immediately out of the box brand new these lights were giving me issues, I already have 4 yeelight bulbs that work flawlessly and connected right through the official yeelight app with no issues, these bulbs are not the same as the 4 I bought originally and refused to acknowledge their existence in the yeelight app, then upon further investigation I found that you can't connect these yeelight bulbs through the yeelight app and instead need to connect through Google home which also refused to find these bulbs despite them being reset numerous times and following the instructions to the tee.These bulbs are an expensive white light that's advertised as "smart" and refused to connect to anything properly.Right out of the box and straight to the trash.

Doesn't work with the Google app at all. Useless even trying. Returning.
