Q: Can you put a Christmas tree in it?

sure - depending on how big the Christmas tree is :) A live tree of 5 feet could be cut to fit. A fake tree once disassembled would fit easily into these bags. They are very room, but should not be overstuffed, as any vinyl item as it makes too much stress on the fabric.

Q: Are there any additional comments to storing items in the bags in an attic?

Good Afternoon Unfortunately No but the material is great.. I have a very large cedar closet..old house!

Bags are more suitable for moving clothes and other stuff - for people that are storing merchandise or moving to new residence , hay bales sounds risky but may work .
