Pravana The Perfect Brunette Toning Shampoo, 10.1oz

It took away all the brassiness and reds in my hair and it left my hair softer with some subtle browns. I wish I had this ten yrs ago. I have only used it once in the last 2 months as hair still looks great. As I color my hair and see brassiness, I will use it again. Smell nice. My hair looks and feels 'normal' not like it was over colored. Why didn someone tell me about this before??

This didn’t dye my shower but I was really careful to wash it all down the drain as soon as I rinsed. It was drying and did tinge my scalp very slightly teal but it worked decently well. You’ll definitely want to use it a few times over the space of a few weeks to achieve a final result but you could see a small difference even after the first use.

I am brunette and this summer I used hair lighter, containing per oxide inside. It turned some parts of my hair into orange which looked really bad. Even at first use, this shampoo helped my hair to get rid of this orangish color. Based on other reviews, yes it is not the best nourishing shampoo ever, but this is not its purpose. I use it with my regular shampoo, and apply a good hair conditioner. By this way, it won't dry your hair.

The consistency of the shampoo is very thick and dense. it does not seem to work through my entire head of chin length hair, unless I wash again. A bit disappointing for the price. It will also stain shower tile unless you rinse it off very quickly.

What I received does not qualify as a hair product. There are detergents similar to dish soap in it that ravaged my hair, dryed it out and it actually ADDED warmth to my brunette hair rather than removed the warm tones (to create a cool tone, which is why I bought it). My hair looked auburn-red after I used it! There are, however, other reviews of this product (from light haired individuals) saying it stained their hair blue, but fortunately none of this happened with me. There was no residual color in my hair or on my towels. So I guess that was good?! I genuinely wondered if the product was swapped out for dish soap with teal food coloring. This was not a normal hair product - it was SOAP! Don't buy. Don't waste your money!

This was EXTREMELY watery. Almost seems as if the seller waters product down before shipping. I can't even keep most of the product in my hand or in my hair because it's so liquidy . I love pravana, but you're better off buying this from their site directly or a local beauty retailer

Stylist suggested this shampoo and it works so well to keep my highlights from turning the ugly orange color that happens to brunettes. Warning: Don't leave it in too long or else the highlights will turn blue...found this out the hard way! If it happens, just wash it with regular shampoo and it goes back.

My colorist recommended this shampoo to prevent my hair from going brassy (brown hair with light brown highlights). It’s amazing!! I got it about 2 weeks after my hair was colored, and it was already turning brassy. But after one shampoo, it was instantly revived!

I felt like this product really took the ugly reddish tones out of my hair that usually come around when I need a fresh dye job!
