Canon PIXMA TS6350a Printer

Prints faster than the original one but as a result is more noisy...Easy to set up.

Sadly, I had to replace my trusty Canon MP460 all in one printer, which had served me well for 10 years or more. Suffering from a document feeder fault, it could only intermittently print one page at a time and the ink cartridges were almost dry. So, after several days of bouncing around the various supplier offerings and reading customer reviews until my head was left spinning, I plumped for the Canon PIXMA TS6350a. I may not be the most discerning printer customers, but a minority of the reviews on this site and others appear to be deliberately inaccurate at best and downright misleading at worst. Why do folk feel it necessary to leave apparent mischievous, ill considered, damning reviews against perfectly good products making it hard for those of us genuinely looking buy?Anyhow, on with my printer experience review. Bought from a different place for £20 less that the advertised Amazon discounted price, it arrived on time and in-tact thanks to quality packaging. Set-up was relatively simple thanks to the fast set-up guide, though for in-depth feature details you'll need to download the online manual. There are two paper loading trays, which are easily accessible with built in intelligence to detect which paper size you have loaded. Print quality is excellent, with jaw dropping crisp photographs output on glossy 5"x7" non canon paper. My wife has gone out to buy more picture frames lol. Printing from IOS iPad and iPhone is easy, to the point that this has become my default print method, saving me logging onto my Windows PC. Copy and scan are both simple operations with high quality results. Despite quite a bit of use since it arrived, Canon's starter ink cartridges are holding up well. During my initial research I spotted some ink cartridges which I'll be buying at a fraction of Canon's advertised prices, which all in all makes this printer a quality buy and relatively cheap to run. The only downside I've been able to spot so far is the automatically extending printer tray, which feel a tad flimsy. My previous printer had a good old fashioned hinged output tray which didn't rely on on an electronic motor.

Worked well with supplied Canon inks and USB cable connection.but not with other cheaper inks and not able to make WiFi connection at all.

My last canon printer (MX870) packed up this week after 14 years sterling service. Purchased this TS6350a and my word what a backward step. Platen cover feels really flaky and poor quality. Feels as though the slightest touch and it will break off. Initial set-up was easy enough, switch it on, put in ink cartridges and then connect to the network. What could be simpler ?? Except there is no ethernet connection. It's WiFi or USB connection. I don't want a USB connection I want a printer on a network. Tried WiFi, continually failed to connect. Bit the bullet and connected via USB and it did connect but I don't want to set-up a computer that then has to share a device. So disconnected and retried WiFi. Numerous attempts via the WPS button. Numerous attempts via manual connection, each time having to tediously enter the password. Had to move the wireless extender practically next to the printer and still wouldn't connect. Finally managed after nearly 3 hours of messing about and trying various things to get it to connect. Seems a real downgrade from last printer. If this is the way canon are going I won't be purchasing another canon printer.

Overall does not feel as solid as previous Canon prnters I have had. The auto-duplex facility is very slow but at least works OK and overall I think this printer is overpriced even at thediscounted price that I paid. A few months ago when before printers generally raised their prices due to scarcity I think this one would possibly have retailed at under £50? It is what it is and I bought it because of the availability of cheap replacement ink - which for many other makes of printer has risen exhorbantly recently.

It is very easy to install this printer via a smartphone, infact it seems to be the preferred way of doings things. However if you have a Linux PC as I have connecting via the WiFi proved impossible. So Linux users need the cable to connect printer to PC. This was not provided with the printer. On the upside Canon provides drivers to run their software and the cable is also available, from Canon.

Very easy to setup and get started, results excellent.

devo dire che con le stampanti Canon ho sempre avuto un ottimo rapporto. e anche questa rientra nel range. ottime stampe, ottimi tempi, buoni consumi. ormai l'ho provata per alcuni mesi. non stampo in maniera eccessiva, in media uno/due fogli a settimana. la qualità, anche fotografica, è buona. In più, la funzione di scanner devo dire che è ottima: veloce e precisa. Buoni anche i software relativi. La possibilità poi di utilizzarla in maniera wireless è il top! e l'installazione è stata piuttosto facile.

Ha sido muy fácil de instalar, y manejar desde el móvil con la aplicación. Incluye 3 papeles Canon de calidad en formato cuadrado para probar la impresión fotográfica. Realmente no diferencio la calidad de la fotos hechas en casa con las que puedo pedir online a alguna página de impresión. Muy contento con la compra.

Franchement très satisfait de cette imprimante. Livraison rapide, bien emballé, produit conforme, la finition est bonne, elle est compacte, se range facilement. La mise en place des cartouches d'encres est très simple, vous avez juste à soulever le capot et vous avez directement aux emplacements. Pas de risque de se tromper, les couleurs sont indiquées selon les cartouches. Plus besoin de câble pour se connecter au PC, tout se fait par wifi. La qualité de l'impression est correcte. Un peu longue que les pages en recto verso, mais pour l'utilisation que je vais en avoir (impression de bordereau d'envoi), c'est parfait. Le gros plus à mon goût, la simplicité d'installation. La franchement, je m'attendais à du compliqué, mais en fait, c'est super simple. Vous retirez les scotchs, vous branchez, allumez, mettez les cartouches, refermez, vous faites ok aux demandes du petit écran et la machine se configure toute seule. Pour la liaison avec votre PC, vous allez sur le site de canon, vous rentrez la ref de l'imprimante et vous vous laissez guider. En 20 min, j'ai fais ma première impression.
