Disappointing quality...
Very disappointed with quality of the product. I purchased (2) cases just about 2 months ago and "premium" matte-finish coating is already coming off on all corners and edges... definitely not what i expecred from this case.

Not Worth the Price
I purchased this for my Samsung Galaxy S8+. I liked the idea of wirelessly charging my phone while in the car, so I bought this along with the car mount. The case is very minimalist which I like. I've always had a very thin case on my phones, and this is by far the thinnest I've ever had. This will NOT protect your phone from drops, so don't buy it if you're looking for that type of protection. For the price you can get an Otterbox, or similar higher quality protection. The case is sleek and has a finish that helps to grip the phone. The wireless charging with the matching car mount does work, although you do have to place the phone on the mount perfectly for it to charge. I've placed it on the car mount expecting it to charge, and when I go to remove it, I realize it has not been charging the whole time while in my car. So, it's not as easy as just sticking it to the mount, it does have to be lined up perfectly. I have more issues about the car mount and will review that in detail on that specific product page.My problem with this case is how expensive it is. For $40+ I would expect a product that can actually protect my phone. Once it arrived, I noticed where all the money is spent, on the packaging! It comes with a beautiful case (around the phone case), but it appears more money was spent manufacturing the packaging that the actual product itself. The technology does work. It is compatible with my Anker wireless desk charger. So, I don't have to remove the case for that to work, which is nice. And, I do like how slim the case is. I just don't understand why this case needs to be $40+. To add injury to insult, Pitaka cases can only be used with the Pitaka specific car mount, which is expensive as well. I think in total I spent about $80 for the car mount and the case, which only work sometimes...Definitely NOT worth the high cost!

The best minimalistic high-quality S8+ case
I was looking and looking for a case for Galaxy S8+ that will both look good and be as minimalistic as possible. A case that will add style to my phone and not transform it to a bulky brick. Without a doubt, this is the best case in the market right now for this propose. Provides great protection against scratches or bumps (not sure about major drops) while showing, instead of hiding, the elegant design of the S8+.1. Looks very good. Minimalistic with almost no added bulk. Smooth and nice to the touch. The "carbon fiber" print doesn't look gaudy but rather elegant.2. The case is magnetic, so can be easily used with magnetic car mounts.3. Provides great protection against scratches or minor bumps. The case itself appears to be very durable.I do wish Pitaka would make the case color options that are available for the iPhone line also available on the S8S8+ line... But that's a minor gripe...

Not really a case, but sleek
This is more like a sleeve of sorts. I mean, it attaches itself like a case, but it's so thin. I got this product because the glass on the back of my S8+ broke, and this did a great job of covering the whole back just perfect. It's sleek, and covered the back to where the shavings of glass won't be seen or rub off. But if you're contemplating buying this, I wouldn't get it because you want it to protect your phone. I mean, if you drop it, I can't see how this is going to protect it. seriously. There's no edges. If it falls on its face, it should break. But this is thin enough that I could get another (traditional) case or even a foldup one could fit over this fine. I just really like the look and feel, and since I dropped my phone once, I'm much more careful now.I'm not getting insurance because I don't want to pay 150 for some refurbished pos. Insurance is a ripoff. I'd rather pay 100 (or so) at a fixit place than pay a deductible for a refurbished phone.

the Pitaka case is beautifully built, but durable and thin
I must say, I have bought many cases for my Galaxy S8 from minimalist to heavy durable, but could not find "The One". Well that was until now, the Pitaka case is beautifully built, but durable and thin, it lets you truly enjoy the construction of the S8 with a thin minimal cover, I simply love it. Would definitely recommend it. I would suggest only to apply a tempered glass protector since this cover ONLY protects the back. I actually bought it with the Pitaka tempered glass here on Amazon, which I also recommend. Thank You Pitaca, hope you come out with the Galaxy note 8 version so I can get it for my wife's phone also.

Update* Corners crack <1 month
Update*Well after only having this product for a little over a month, the case has failed. The corners of the case have began to crack. This totally compromises the protection of my S8+. Apparently Amazon does not provide information for warranty claims. Will have to contact Pitaka myself and see what the warranty steps. I really loved this case, but do to this recent problem I can no longer recommend this product.*Overall good product. Only complaint is that around some of the edges/corners the outer layer material is not completely covering the inner layer compound of the case. The pattern seems bunched together and some of the white color of the inner layer is showing through the thinnley stretched outer layer. I hope this is more of a cosmetic issue instead of a defect in the overall case strength.
