For a smooth sharpening, you must keep the degree of the angel. I used 15 deg.
This provides a very smooth edge on your good knives. I advise any one that needs a sharpening steel, this is the one.

Course diamond grit is now smooth with a few uses.
Yes it sharpens. But after a few uses the grit is smoothed out. This item will not last long.
