I bought this to reduce the amount of bugs we have during the summer outside my window. This works too well. The loud zapping noise can be terrifying initially and we had so many bugs it was a constant zzzzt pop at times. Eventually we got used to it but it was certainly concerning the first night and had to unplug. We had way less bugs enter the home which was great. It is a relatively bright light so its best to keep it away from view. Hopefully one day someone can make a cordless version that can last multiple nights an turns on when it gets dark.

I plugged this device in and in 20 minutes I started hearing tz tz tztztztz as bugs started being electrocuted. I felt much happier hearing those flying * menaces fry and die! In concert with the hand held tennis racket zapper I bought Yissvic, my house is almost free of annoying flying *s! Both were reasonably priced and they've made me happier than I've been in months, hearing those accursed bugs Die. Dead bugs aren't "good bugs" but they're the ones that least annoy me. I think this has already fried 50-100+ bugs. Most them are tiny gnats/drain flies. Give these 2 Zappers a try and see if they don't Make Your Summer/Spring a little happier.

Ever since we started using the Bug Zapper we have enjoyed peace of mind in our home. We are in a heavily wooded area and lots of flies, wasps, mosquitos lurking around - those that sneak into our home get ZAPPED and then I just unscrew the base of the Zapper and flush the remains down the toilet. Simple and effective. Thanks again.

This is my favorite zapper or tool in general to rid of those annoying fruit/drain flies. You can hear the zaps when they fly into the light. Worth the money. Even happen to catch a house fly and those zaps are loud. Does the job

Had a huge fly/ mosquito problem. Definitely helped on the flies, the mosquitos a little. Still get bit, but does get some.

We were being eaten alive earlier this summer by small mosquitos and finally gave up on the fly swatter! This bug zapper is the best purchase I’ve made this summer! I would like to note that we tried putting this in several different locations to find where the little buggers would eagerly travel to.But we discovered that at lower levels, including sitting it on table close to where we sit to watch TV, It was nowhere near as effective as it is sitting higher up on top of a bookcase. We hear it zapping unseeable flying critters at least 10 to 15 times per day. Which should tell you, you never know how much stuff comes in with you when you open the door. This has worked incredibly well. As far as cleaning it, we have not attempted that process yet. I guess I’ll save that for an update later.

So far it's working good as described by the seller. I wish it has a power switch.

Great purchase. We bought it for the inside if the house but it’s working out better in the garage.
