Theses work great but we have the hardest time opening them.

I place the empty bowl not the cover on the toaster oven to heat it up in the morning before placing my son's lunch into it, hot from the stove. I then put it into his Lava Lunch- lunch box. He told me that his lunch was still steaming at lunch time. I prepared the meal at 5:20am and his school's lunch period is at 11:35am.I'm sorry to say that there is one BIG thing that I really did not like and that is the fact that the silicone rubber that seals the lid became stained on the first use and I just cant get the stain out. One of them even became loose around the corner edge. I would have given 10 stars very easily if only the silicone seal didnt get stained so easily. Other than that the bowl is very durable and cute. There are no dents or scratches and he's been using them everyday since school started in January2020. I should also mention that my child is 8yrs old and he has never had a problem opening the bowl even though it seals very well...

Hard to open for the smallest one.

Ordered 2 different sets of metal containers (others with tops that fold over sides to seal) to pack food when traveling. Kept this set because took up less space than others with larger lids. Seals on these are nice & tab you lift to let air out creates good vacuum seal to prevent leaks. I dont use them for soups & other very liquid items, but theyve kept sauce from coleslaw & fruits from leaking. When cleaning by hand, have to make sure to clean seals well & time will tell if they hold up. Like how they fit together when storing. Worked great on my trip.

Just can’t open it! I read all the reviews and still bought it thinking how hard can it be. Serves me right. Now, I am stuck with this box. I want to return it but can’t.

updated info, reducing 2 starts (previously gave all 5)after a few days of trying them. I felt it is really hard for my kid to open the smallest box.it needs lot of strength to open, when opened with that much of strength, everything inside spills all over the body. unfit for school lunch.Mid size is okay, but the same problem as above.I never take bigger one outside, I use it at home. so far good.Excellent product. was looking for stainless steel for lunch for kids.anyways they do not have microwave @ school and school does not allow glass boxes.this one is too good. leak proof. Many had comments that this needs strength to open.but I tried it --> worked fine. my kids tried (they are 6th graders) worked fine for them.May be difficult for younger kids !! I agree.only draw back is: I wanted all stainless steel, so that I can pack hot lunch. here the lid is plastic, so I cannot pack the lunch when it is hot.Durability: don't know. These are so great! The attatchable clips are so nice for going out. It makes it so much easier for my kids be responsible for their own food. Even for just an at home snack, the different sizes make it perfect for my 2 very different sized kids. My youngest gets the smallest one which is perfect for her and my oldest gets the middle size. The grip on the seal is absolutely perfect. Some people might think it is too hard to open but if you have messy kids like I do, you'll greatly appreciate it!The little notes that come with it are the perfect touch. I always scramble to find sticky notes to put into my sons lunch box but these are much better. He enjoys the illistrations on the cards too. Very durable containers. Will definitely be taking on our camping trips!

While I originally bought these for my kids lunches, they have become my go-to for fruit storage, especially berries. They are too difficult for my kids to open, so I was disappointed at first, but when I started storing my berries and fruit in them, I realized my fruit was staying mild-free for so much longer than other containers that claim to keep produce fresh! So I will be ordering another set before next summer when we always have lots of fresh berries on hand!

It's leak proof alright. Can't even open it. Can't return because cost of returning the item is more expensive than the product. Useless
