The Art of DuckTales (Deluxe Edition)

While the name indicates this book is designed to spotlight the art of 2017’s Ducktales television show, the book provides so much more than just sketches, photos and concept art. Instead, this book also takes readers on a journey through the creative process of the series, and offers insight regarding the approaches taken by the writers, artists, actors and even the musicians. The book also serves as an episode guide focused on the inspirations and Easter eggs nestled into each story arch.I purchased the deluxe edition, which also comes with a softcover companion book that supplements the material found in the hardcover, main text. Honestly, even the supplemental material is expertly developed and is strong enough to have stood on its own. All together you’re looking at more than 300 pages of text and photos, handled with the type of love and respect that very few, if any, Disney TV shows have ever received.The deluxe edition also features gilded pages and a replica Number One Dime, giving it a high-end, heirloom edition feel, also nestled within a much-appreciated slipcase. If you’re able, I strongly recommend the deluxe edition for all the extra features. It’s the definitive version for fans.

...okay, well I read it while re-watching at least season 1 side by side. Overall this is a great book, full of production artworks and notes on every single episode in the new DuckTales. For the price, I think the secondary book, themed like the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook, should have been hardcover, especially since it also houses Scrooges number one dime! But it's a minor complaint, and when you are not reading it, you can flip the cover case over to the wonderful portrait of Scrooge on the side, to remind all your friends and family who the richest duck in the world is.

Got this for my 15 year old that loves the Ducktales cartoons. He was so excited to receive it and enjoys looking through it.

Loved watching the DuckTales series (woo-oo!) and it was a lot of fun reading about the process behind the scenes and hearing what the creators' favorite parts were. Looks fantastic for a collector item as well.

This was worth EVERY number one dime that was spent on it. If you're a diehard fan of the show and want to know background info on the show this is a MUST buy. It even came with my own NUMBER ONE dime. Who could ask for more?!

I'm an original show fan, but the 2017 DuckTales series stole my heart, and this collection has only grown my admiration for the work put into making it. It's packed with information and artwork that anyone who loves animation will enjoy. Plus, you get a number one dime!

This book is the definitive behind the scenes story of the 2017 DuckTales animated series. This was lovingly constructed to be both a true keepsake for any fan of this show, with pictures, and scripts, and interviews galore, and to be a very handsome edition on a bookshelf. I can't recommend this book enough!
