My dog is exactly 7 pounds. Although the booster is cute and easy to assemble its straps are not secure around the headrest nor around the seat. The belts kept loosening, when my dog would put her paws on the sides to look out the window the cardboard did not hold up well. I returned the merchandise and I did get a full refund, very quickly, so that was great! If you have a dog that moves and doesn't just sit in one spot, I would suggest going for a higher quality, possibly ones with wiring around the edges so that it wont collapse. I bought another for $58.00 but its much more secure and I feel better about my dogs safety.
