A nice surprise!
I was looking for a simple camera for covering my backyard, and just for a coincidence I found this sort of nest. Despite I am not a usual birdwatcher, I decide to buy...and it was a lovely surprise! The product arrived almost ready to install (I chose the camera with the feeder). It comes with a bracket for the wall fastening, and it can be fixed with both screws or the hanging belt. As I was not sure about the best position for the feeder, I used the belt to test the camera into different spots. Finally I chose the water spout . In other words, in 5min I was able to install the camera without any mess! The camera is motion triggered and it turns on only when a bird is visiting the nest, and this is so smart as it helps in saving the battery (in 2 weeks I used the 30% of battery despite several visits!). The AI sensor sends you a notification any time a ‘guest’ is approaching. Then it records a video which is available on both the camera software and the Cloud. Even more it is able to recognise and discourage squirrels and other unwanted guests using a siren alarm. And I really appreciate this feature, as I was scared of creating attractive spots for rats in my back yard. The camera is managed by a remote app installed on my phone, and the maintenance required in place is very minimum: recharge the battery (maybe once a month?), and refill the feeder! I can say I was absolutely impressed by the product. The easiness of use and the quality of material is an added value, and the extreme flexibility of its software makes the birdwatching a very nice experience…even from your sofa! Fully recommended!

Superb customer service from Netvue
This bird feeder is great, the birds use it regularly, it is easy to clean and the camera produces great pictures of visiting birds. There are cheaper versions available but you get what you pay for. The AI recognition is sometimes a bit hit/miss but that will probably improve over time I would expect. However, the thing I find most pleasing is the excellent Customer Support post purchase. My feeder suddenly stopped charging from the USB C solar panel port after 20 months and I was having to bring the whole thing inside to charge it from the micro USB slot on the front from a mains plug which was a pain in the neck. I contacted Netvue to see if there was anything they could suggest to fix it (there was no obvious damage) and after trying their suggestions (which sadly didn't work) they offered to send me a complete replacement unit. True to their word they sent me FOC a like-for-like feeder which I received in less than a week. Truly impressed, will not hesitate to buy further products in future, thank you.

Made for Americans
The bird feeder and camera is great. The AI is entertaining but not entirely (or even a little) accurate. The same blue tit regularly visits and has been misidentified as everything from eagle to ostrich. Either my garden is a bird watchers dream or it doesn’t work in the uk

Excellent product for bird watchers
Very easy to setup. It produces decent quality videos of birds. Alert notifications are promot and useful. Alot of fetures and it acts as bird cam akong with security cam for the garden. Overall goos product. Ai dectection of birds is hit or miss but you can use google lens on all the images captured to get more accurate results. It has good clarity in night mode as well. Motion detection is bang on.

Good but with some negative points.
I've had mine a few weeks now and overall am very happy with it. Well built and fairly solid. I do think it's VERY over priced though all things considered. Images are reasonable, but a little out of focus at times. The software/app is functional enough but a little clunky. My biggest gripes are without some sort of subscription you get restricted functionality. Having paid over £300 I find that disappointing and perhaps a little greedy of Netvue. I have an SD card installed but the automatic recordings are limited to 10 second clips. Unless you take out a monthly subscription and that is then increased. No Netvue, just no. Using it as a live viewer works well though and you can record clips as long as you want. The much advertised AI is non existent (see photos). Will identify the same bird 5 times differently and none of them correctly. Netvue keep claiming it is a progress in works and will improve over time, which I'm hoping is true, but don't market and advertise it as being able to identify thousands of birds when it can't. So hardware wise it's very good. Wifi connection has been solid, but it will struggle to connect live if its in the process of recording. Hopefully the software/app will be improved and they eventually get the AI sorted. The solar panel has worked very well, but it has been quite sunny since I've had it. Aside from my gripes I'm really enjoying my experience with it and find the birds fascinating to watch.

Fantastic!
Great. I first bought one for my dad, so he could see his birds when he was too sick to go out to see them. Fantastic bird feeder and camera. I set it up so that all of his bird feeders were in view of the camera, so not only did it capture the birds at this feeder, but at all of the feeders in his garden. I have also bought one, and have set it up in the same way. The AI detection is great 👍. Great cam, good quality feeder, very impressed. All in all a great camera bird feeder.

Unfortunately very attractive to pigeons
On the surface this works as advertised, it records videos and sends notifications of whatever animal visits, but due to the large size of the feeding area it's very attractive to pigeons and squirrels, and soon the stream of notifications will be pigeon, pigeon, pigeon, squirrel, pigeon, pigeon etc and the feed will be gone in no time. I've tried numerous ways to deter these greedy pests but it's basically impossible. If only Netvue had some sort of add on to add a physical barrier to the front of the feeder to prevent large animals from getting to the food.
