I asked my cousin what he uses
New to any form of archery as I got my senior lifetime combo license I started to look for a crossbow and askec my cousin, a succesful compound and crossbow acher."NAP spitfire, flys true and I never had one go more than 40 yards."Sure enough this year I had the opportunity at 30 yards broadside.Right where I aimed, complete pass through exiting the left shoulder.Ran about 35 - 40 yards and dropped, kicked once.

Best Brodhead on the market
I’ve been using these Whitetail hunting for 15 years. Unbelievable cuts and always deploy. Not fancy, just down to business. I’m a huge advocate and try and tell everyone to shoot these expandables. I’ve gone through bone and pass throughs without any problems Year after year. Excellent Product NAP. You won’t be sorry.

Absolutely the best
They are the best mechanical broadhead u can buy. I see reviews of them broken and damaged only thing I can thi k of this is from shot placement. Thry aren't made to shoot through shoulder bones. Of course if u shoot shoulder bones its going to get damaged. I shoot these broadheads over and over with. No damage. Occasionally ur bend a blade on a rib bone etc. Thats just part of shooting a blade .o3 in thickness into an animal. But the pic is of the broadhead that took that 11 point 148 inches buck as u can see its not bent damaged in any way. 20 yard crossbow shot through the heart. Shot placement will depend on life of these broadheads. Hit behind the front shoulder and you will have awesome.results.

When everything goes right, fantastic, but...
So, admittedly I'm a novice bow hunter, this is my third season. Last year I shot Rage Hypodermic's and they worked fantastically, but I got sick of dealing w/ the shock collars (they wear out from vibration, and they are one shot, then replace blades and shock collars). These Spitfire Maxx's were recommended to me by a friend and I liked that there were no rubber bands, shock collars, etc. Additionally, I liked the concept of the three blades and bigger cutting diameter. I've shot two deer with these. I shoot a Mathew's Halon 6, 27.5' draw, 67 lbs. The first deer I shot was a button buck at 27 yards and I was about 20 ft up in the stand, giving me a pretty steep angle. I shot high on the back behind the front leg and got a pass through center mass opposite side. He went about 40 yards, laid down and died. Good blood trail, excellent exit wound, great stopping power. The second deer was a mature doe at 20 yds. I put what I thought was a perfect shot on her. Center mass behind the front leg, however I didn't get a full pass through (Either the broad head failed to deploy or it hit the opposite shoulder). as she turned and ran I saw my fletchings sticking out and I think the arrow was in about half deep. The blood trail was minimal and I tracked her for two hours (after waiting an hour from the time I shot) and never found her. I was following tiny drops of blood and after about 225 yds and two hours of tracking (shot took place at about 0900, and was tracking in daylight) the blood trail was gone. My guess is she clotted up and went some where to lay down and die. It made we sick that I shot a mature doe, put a good shot on her, and couldn't recover her - it was a waste. The benefit to the hypodermic is that the profile is so thin, that the velocity punches through. I've got one of these left, and I'll give them another chance. But, if I lose another deer, I'll definitely try something else.

Accurate, great penetration and blood trail
They shoot with field tip accuracy for my Mathews Heli-M Bow 70#. I took a nice elk, my first with my bow with the Spitfire Maxx 100 Grain. The guys at my archery shop debated between these and Slick Tricks but these won due to to their accuracy. Excellent penetration, 32 yard quartering away shot got stuck in opposite shoulder. Left great blood trail and elk went less than 75 yards. I will use them again for elk and whitetail. I got 2 boxes, 3 each, One from archery shop and one from Amazon. I used one broadhead for practice and shot that one with each of my arrows. It was a little work but only worth it to guarantee performance and makes up for no replacement blade for the tip. The other 5 were for use in the field. The mechanical blades stay in place for the most part but if you are calling back and forth and walking through the woods, sage brush I recommend you make sure they are all secured before you draw. Also, make sure mechanicals are legal in your state. I'll let others debate over mechanicals or fixed. Accuracy and shot placement are the most important to me and the proof is in my freezer.

Haven't lost one yet.
Absolute Missiles. Obviously can't use them to shoot-thru ground blind netting like a fixed blade but for the speed and damage they do it's worth that trade for sure. The channel is colossal and you can hit bone both sides it's still going through and through, use luminoks. I've RE-fired (re-used) almost every single head one time, if that tells you how well they hold up, and you can buy replacement blades easily, they're easy to change, and the tips don't get mangled and a quick slide across some 2k grit paper will keep the tip edges razor sharp too.

Accurate and dependable
First time bow hunter, did some reviews and landed on these. Talked to a few buddies after the purchase, and they all said they had great experience with these, and use them currently. Guess I should have talked to them first, saved some time. Killed my first javelina with these broadheads, arrow went cleanly through the animal like a hot knife through butter, massive exit wound, animal bled out quickly, these are very lethal and plan on using them on my elk hunt (if I get drawn!).

Not impressed!
After a few shots into the target the tips broke off on two of them. Wouldn't trust them for hunting!

These things work.
These are great, the deer won't be far if your shot is decent.
