The book you write.
The only way I can lose is to keep track of everything! What I ate, all the calories, carbs, protein, fat... What exercise I did, how many calories. How much water I drank, my mood, my achievements, etc. Tedious? You bet, but it keeps me focused on the goal.I began using this when my doctor told me to cut cheese, meat and other cholesterol filled foods out of my diet. I don't eat that much cholesterol. And I proved it by keeping track. Note this book doesn't track cholesterol. I used the carb column. But I lost 20 pounds and my cholesterol went down.Today there are all kinds of apps out there to track all kinds of metrics, but it is cool and inspirational to see weeks, months and years recorded in a book with incidental scribbling about the diet journey.

It really works!
I purchased this diet journal not knowing how effective it was really going to be. Once I started documenting everything going into my body the weight just started coming off! What I love is that there is boxes to check off to write down how much water youve been drinking daily, and also I love that there is more room for writing down food versus exercise. In 6 weeks of using this journal daily I am down 8 lbs! This journal has encouraged me to drink more water and eat healthier and make an effort to walk a little bit more. What I also recommend is getting a heart rate monitor to document exactly how many calories you burn.I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to see my progress at the end of the journal =)

Excellent food journal/diary
I love this. I've completed two of these and I'm about to order my third one. I bought my first one many years ago and it sat in a drawer, unused, for years. After I had a massive heart attack and got diagnosed with Diabetes, both on the same day, I knew I had to make some drastic changes to my diet. When I got home from the hospital, I pulled this book out and started using it, consistently, every single day. I bought a food scale and used it. Every single bite of food I ate or drank, no matter how small, got logged in the book.It has been 1 1/2 years since my medical troubles began. With diet changes and attending a Cardiac Rehab program, I lost 20 pounds. Heart function wise, I've made a full recovery and on the diabetic front, my A1C went from a high of 12.9 down to a pre-diabetes level of 6.2.This book was invaluable to me as a tool to help get me and keep me on track. It was/is my diet Bible. I have only one complaint about it, which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5. There is no category for tracking Cholesterol, Sodium or sugar, all of which I have to track and limit. I ended up keeping track of those in an empty spot on the page somewhere. Adding those categories in a future edition would make this book perfect. I love everything else about this book. It is very easy to use, gives great diet tips on each page, and is very well organized. Highly recommend.5/28/25 Edited to add that there is no category for tracking cholesterol in addition to sodium and sugar, as originally written.

Excellent tool for helping you with losing weight!
Food journaling doesn't work for everyone. But for those that it works for, this is an incredible journal. I buy one every year. It has a pull-out graph you can hang on the wall (if you're like me, it's right above the scale) to keep track of your weight. There are several available entries (carbs, fats, sugars, etc) so it forces you to use small handwriting or even abbreviations. This is not a bad thing, just letting you know ahead of time in case you usually have large handwriting. The front section has a ton of really great tips and every month, there is a summary to track your progress, even a place to put a photo!

Love it
This is my second one. I used the first one over years of dieting on and off, It lets me track EVERYTHING, is easy to use, and a convenient size with the spirals making it great for using. When I am serious about losing weight, I immediately start logging in this notebook. I stay on track with it. Highly recommend to serious dieters.

Lose Weight Fast Diet Journal by Alex A. Lluch
I really, really like this journal; in fact this is my second one that I've used. It makes recording easy and the motivational daily tips are great. If you are looking for a weight loss diet journal, look no further as this is the one for you.

Almost Perfect
You can look inside this journal, so you have an idea how the pages are set up.Its 30 weeks long and its really nice being spiral binding, so you can lay flat on the kitchen counter (as I do). The only down side I see so far, is there are not enough "I did it stickers"...there are 91 stickers and 210 days in the journal. I hope I meet my goals more than 91/210 days. And I wonder if I am going to run out of lines each day, as I eat lots of smaller meals/snacks vs just 3 squares a day.I will update my review after a few weeks of using this...

Diet journal
I am using the journal to track my eating habits and make changes as needed. I find that journaling is really the best way to track and manage eating and meds. The journal is very comprehensive. I will likely purchase another when this one is full.
