Hermitshell Hard EVA Travel Blue Case Fits Anker Astro E1 5200mAh / 6700mAh / Anker PowerCore II 6700 Candy bar-Sized Ultra Compact Portable Charger

I purchased this along with my 6700 mAh power bank, thinking it would be more attractive than simply leaving the charger in its included mesh bag. It certainly is more attractive. It's sized perfectly for the powerbank itself, and the inside elastic pocket also holds a small USB cable. The Anker comes with a mesh bag designed to hold the charger - the Hermitshell will *not* hold the Anker while in that mesh bag. I can remove the mesh bag, and fold it on top of the charger, and the Hermitshell will just close.Protection: This case would certainly guard against accidental drops. I haven't heard that such gadgets are especially sensitive to dropping, but I wouldn't try to test that theory without a pretty substantial protective case!Bulk: Well, it roughly doubles the volume the charger requires - see side-by-side photo. Take that into consideration; if you're trying to minimize the size, you may want to skip it.Carabiner: I've seem images of this or similar cases, used to attach the case to, say, the outside of a backpack. Interesting concept but I wouldn't risk it; the carabiner attaches to a thin metal loop which attaches to the case via a fabric loop. See the side-by-side photo for this structure. The fabric actually looks substantial but I've had too many attachable things fall off keychains because of a flimsy loop, to be willing to trust something like that hanging free. That said, I do use it to attach it to a key loop inside my purse to make it easier to fish out.There is NOT room for anything extraneous beyond that short cord and the folded mesh bag. a much longer USB cord won't fit, nor will a wall plug. There are plenty of other, larger cases out there designed to handle electronics, that would hold all that in a single case, though of course they're not specifically sized for this charger.Other uses: It would certainly do well to hold charging cables, earbuds and a charging plug. If it had two interior pockets instead of one, it would be nearly ideal for that purpose. I put an inhaler in there to see if it would fit (it does).All in all: The case does what it's designed to do, and does that reasonably well. The bulkiness is a factor of what it's designed to do (protect your Anker) and I don't downgrade it for that. In fact, the only reasons I gave it 4 versus 5 stars are the thin metal carabiner attachment, and the fact that it just is not an essential item for your Anker.

Time will write this review. For now, this item seems to be well made a fits two of the RAVpower mini 3350 portable chargers with one USB charging cable. Case feels solid. Zipper is smooth & no skipping or hesitating when opening or closing. Case's she'll is constructed well & does not yield to any firm pushing or flatten out when stuffed in a tote bag. Very pleased & would recommend for carrying small items needing protection.NOTE: 5 Star review was lowered to 4 because the case has a strong odor of cigarette smoke. While this does not diminish use of item, will be several days of sitting outside in the sun to rid it of the overwhelming cigarette smell. Being a non smoker, this is a problem for me & being a new item, the scent was immediately noticeable.

The case itself works, but the ring on the case riped. I had the ring on the case attached to the key holder on the inside of my purse, the key holder in my purse has an extension strap attached (sewn) to the inside of my purse also so that if you dropped your purse you won't lose your key or in this case my Anker. Sometimes this case would hang on the outside of my purse while I was charging my phone, and I guess it couldn't handle the weight and it tore. I guess my key holder extension strap attached to my purse is better made than the Anker case ring. I wasn't a heavy user on this case, was used maybe once a week or every other week when going grocery shopping and it wasn't like I was hanging off of it, the only weight it had to carry was the weight of the Anker Astro E1 5200mAH Candy Bar-Sizedm when I had it dangle off the side of my purse. Work out of the home, so rarely needed to use it. I do like the case, just wish it was sewn better so the ring won't rip off so easy.

I have the Anker Astro battery in my purse, and didn't like carrying it (with cables) in a ziploc bag. This is perfect. Blue color is nice and easy to find at the bottom of a purse. Material is good quality, zipper moves easily. The case also holds two cables - one (4") for connecting the phone to the battery, and a longer one that connect the battery to a wall charger. The only thing it doesn't hold is the wall charger cube, but that's OK. I'm just pleased to get rid of the plastic bag.

This product is made wrong, the hanging ring for carabiner is on the wrong end, so if hanging and opens the mesh will be on right side and facing down. The whole orientation is flipped.This case is also too big for Anker PowerCore 6700 power bank. The power bank is loose and banging around inside, very noticeably.See the pictures

Excellent case! First off, the Anker family of batteries are top of the line. So, you're gonna want something to protect said battery pack. These cases are all size specific (depending on what size battery pack you purchase..) The outside is extremely tough and rigid, while the inside is super soft and gentle on the contents. There's also room for a few spare charging cables in the storage pocket. Highly recommend.

Great little case, works perfectly. I use it to store my Anker Astro and a couple of cables. Nice compact package that I toss in my Camelbak when I head to the mountain to work or my laptop bag when heading to the office. Since I have multiple Anker batteries, I use the different colors to keep things straight...(most recently used battery vs. fully charged rotation)

Sons loves this battery pack. He wanted one just like his older brother. They don't make anymore. We were lucky to find "One" refurbished one in lime green. Wasnt black like brothers but he was happy. He earned it as a prize. It looked brand new. My son loves it. Takes it every where he goes with ipod. Small compact. Charges quickly.Thanks guys!

I love my little red Anchor battery case! It's very strong & sturdy shell keeps the contents very secure. The case can hold the battery charger plus it's charging lead & a 10 cm USB charging lead for my devices. The case has 2 very strong zips, so no chance that the case will open unexpectedly if squashed etc. It's small enough to fit in your pocket, handbag or attach to a belt loop to carry on your person. The G clip is pretty strong although I found the spring lever a little weak. However, overall, it certainly does the job of carrying everything I need for the portable charger and protects it well from damage - no matter where you put it! Would definately recommend.

I knew I needed to get a case for my battery before going on holiday and after a bit of research came across this one. I must say I was not disappointed, it was better than I expected, soft inlay, netting pocket, double zip, carribena attachment, excellent quality, perfect fit, tough and stylish. Absolute bargain would highly recommend without question.

Brilliant gadget! Bought to use for a recent stay in hospital to power up my phone and kindle. Have used it loads since returning home even now I have fully recovered. Will be taking it on my hols too.

neat little charger that I can carry around in my day back when out walking, in case run out of power on my phone that i use for many things including maps etc

Bought this because my last Anker got knocked about till something went "Snap!". This thing on first look seems great. It seems happy enough charging from in the shell, but sure if I'm meant to our not but... You know...Seems very light, well designed and sturdy. Reasonable price, just wish I'd got one earlier!
