Perfect battery monitor! A must for every solar system
This has been the best investment I’ve made in my solar power system hands down! When I got everything hooked up originally, I bought one of those $15-$20 cheap battery monitors on Amazon. I was not really concerned as long as I was getting power to my RV. And everything was fine for a while. Then winter came and my battery kept dying. The little battery monitor was a piece of crap and would go from showing 100% charge one minute to 10% the next. I tried making sure the solar panels got more sun, I was charging the battery with the generator and they would keep dying every so often. After investing more money into my solar system (more panels, moving the batteries indoors) I decided to get a better battery monitor.A monitor with a shunt is a must!!! This changed everything. I didn’t realize that even when my panels were getting more sun, the batteries were only getting charged up to maybe 20-40% of the capacity of my batteries. With this monitor, you input the total Ah capacity of your battery bank, and it will tell you how many Ah are left. Luckily I got lithium ion batteries but this is still not good for the batteries! My battery bank was too big for my solar panels and my energy consumption was often balancing out the electricity generation, so that the batteries would constantly become discharged. Thanks to this thing I can easily see how much power is being used vs generated and it’s real time so I can see how much turning on and off the furnace or lights affects energy usage. I did have to up the number of solar panels on my system, but now I can actually make sure the batteries are getting charged up!It seemed a little complicated to install, but it’s not at all! You will need to get some 14 or 16 AWG wire to connect this to the positive lead of the battery, but everything else I needed was included. The phone app is super easy to use. This was one of the reasons I picked this one over the Renogy battery monitor (pretty much everything else on my system is from Renogy). But their battery monitor didn’t have the Bluetooth option. With this one you can see everything easily on the screen, no need to toggle between different screens, AND you also get the Bluetooth monitoring and control. And I love that it shows you how much battery time left you have based on current usage or how much charging time you will have left to get to full charge. Now that I have this I can’t believe how long I went being completely in the dark about my solar system. If you are running off of batteries, get this!! It will tell you everything you need to know.

Really it’s junc tek
I am updating my review. JunTec or WonVon after seeing my review emailed me to ask me how they could help. I let them know about the problem with the blue tooth. They said they would send me a new unit.I received the new unit just a few days later. I have it installed and it is working very well.Thank you JunTec or WonVon.Easy to install after watching videos.Really disappointed in company for not responding to my emails. The monitor works well however the blue tooth signal to app doesn’t work. Signal keeps dropping and the range is only a few feet.

Buyer beware-edited to reflect refund
I want to like this product. Everything was good to begin with. I wired it up to my off grid LiFePO4 battery bank to be able to better monitor the level of capacity my batteries were at. I had looked at other battery monitor shunts but went with this one both because a friend has it on his battery bank with good results and because it can also read and display the temperature inside my battery box. This temperature bit was a factor I wanted to be able to see as my battery bank is in an insulated, but unheated building. I need to make sure it doesn't get to freezing or below because my type battery can be damaged if charged at these low temperatures.I wired it in as instructed by their manual and it worked fabulous for about 3 months. Then it began malfunctioning with regard to measuring the current going in or out of the battery bank. I checked the connections and initially thought I had found the problem as it started working correctly again. Alas, that only lasted for another day and it was back to being bound, more or less, within a .2amp range no matter how much power was actually being drawn by my inverter or supplied through my charge controllers. It has remained malfunctioning.I contacted the seller/manufacturer inquiring about the problem. They gave a vague response as to what the issue might be that seemed to suggest I had it wired up wrong and the motherboard was damaged. I asked for clarification, sending images to show how I in fact had it wired just as their instructions indicated. I've also asked specifically if there is any sort of warranty beyond the standard Amazon 30 days. They responded right away to be patient and their professionals will answer my questions. That was 2 weeks ago, with no response since.Based on this and the fact that I can't find anything stating there is a warranty I have to assume there is no warranty beyond the standard 30 days with Amazon. It seems like it could be a good product, but buyer beware, they do not seem to stand behind it should a malfunction occur. Again, mine lasted about 3 months.Edited to note that the seller/manufacturer did just provide a full refund, so in the end they did stand behind the product. Kudos to them for that! I'm changing this to 4 stars instead of 2 since I feel it could be a great product, but I'm dismayed my situation wasn't really addressed until after I left a poor review.
