Absolutely brilliant, had me from the start, loved the high heat between Jill and Luca very erotic. Book has plenty of twists and turns. Fast paced thrilling ride that I couldn't put down. Well done! A definite must read so get it in your library.😍😍

Another fabulous read from the author that hooked me right away and had me unable to put it down. With so much packed into the pages, I could not get enough of this story. It holds the attention throughout, ensuring the reader is invested in everything that plays out. Highly recommend.

Just came back from #RARE23 London and the organiser Amy said try new authors. Received a pre sequel copy of this book and I’m hooked. Dark, raunchy and action packed. Throughly recommend this series and author.

I didn’t feel chemistry between the MC. She was annoying as hell and he is a brute who claims to love her but he does nothing but hurt her, and not in the sexy way. This isn’t mafia dark romance. This is pure bs. The storyline is also weak. Nothing makes sense. Worst book I’ve. Ever read.

If you have not read the prequel, do yourself a favor and read it, first. It is a story of that thin line between love and hate. This is one where the villain lives in his villaincy for the one he loves, and I love that. While it is all the things you want - spicy, dark, angst-filled, a complete story, a hint to a future story, and so much more, it is a redeeming love story that is nuanced and makes you thirsty for more. The Easton and Charlotte cameo is a nice plus for me, too. In other words, it's a great story, and Clarissa is a great storyteller. Enjoy.

Great story

Good gracious! This was an intense book. Luca, the prince of a Mafia family marries Jill from a rival family. Their families were partners at one point, but not now.Luca has bullied and tormented Jill since they were kids, and now she is forced to marry Luca. He does all he can to control and possess her. Love eventually comes as they realize old feelings may not have been what they originally thought.This was my first mafia romance, so the intensity surely got me. Luca could be sweet but cruel, and he was certainly a sadist. I enjoyed how much he wanted to “be seen” by Jill. He desired for her to see him and appreciate him for who he was at heart. He was by far the most complex and compelling character of the story. Jill wasn’t a bad character, but she faded in the background compared to Luca.
