Perfect for the price!
I was a bit reluctant to get these because I've never heard of the brand prior. The noise reduction combined with six microphones peaked my interest. Why would they go to all that trouble if it didn't matter. And I can tell you IT MATTERS! Way impressed by these little gems and the look cool too. Recommend them for the price range.

Handle with care
I like it looks awesome but switching the quality sounds is complicated and the right earplugs doesn't work after 3days the best things on this earbuds the battery last long weeks even if you don't used

Too many features.
They started out great. I wear them at work where I can only have in one headphone. It was irritating that I couldn't pause with the left only headphone, without pulling it out of my ear and that only worked half the time. After 2 months they now no longer connect to each other. They both work individually, but if I want to use them outside of work I still only get 1 headphone. I called edifier about warranty coverage and have gotten 0 response.

Style AND performance.
When it comes to design, HECATE certainly pushes the boundaries, and the new GX04 earbuds are no exception. The case is sort of futuristic-looking with a dark silver matte finish and angular edges. While the case is bigger than usual and not as pocketable, it is still light enough to carry around. It’s also unique in that the case is opened by bringing the top lid downwards and that took me a little bit to get used to. These would not be gaming earbuds without some RGB, and these do not disappoint. This time, it is more subtle with RGB on the sides and some on the bud’s touchpads.Speaking of the earbuds, they also follow the angular design language. While I like how they look in my ears, I can see others opting for a more traditional look. As someone told me, they look like they’re meant for kids. Nevertheless, most people like them.I found the stem design rather comfortable in my ears. They stay secure when running or even when doing cartwheels or excessive head shaking. The original medium gel tips provided a good seal. I am glad that they are rated IP54, so sweat and rain are not an issue. The buds are light enough so that I was able to wear them for the total battery life, which is a bit over 4 hours with ANC on, and about 5.5 hrs. with ANC off (24 with case). Since I am not in the habit of wearing buds for that long, the battery life is good enough for me. Sadly, these buds do not feature wireless charging but do have USB-C.The GX04 features Bluetooth 5.0, which is good enough now, but I would’ve liked 5.2 at least. Still, I was able to hook them effortlessly and they maintain a good connection at decent distances. The buds feature auto-pause when taking them off and resume when putting them on, which is convenient. They also have a gaming/music option that activates low latency for gaming. On music mode, the latency is hardly noticed, and I found no sync issues with videos. They also feature ANC and ambient mode. The noise cancellation works rather well -provided you have the right seal, and ambient mode, while still sounding artificial, works as expected. If there was something that largely disappointed me, is that while many things can be controlled via the touchpads, volume control is not one of them. I really dislike having to take out the phone or asking the voice assistant to change the volume. Also, there is no app to make changes or receive updates (yet?).But one thing that makes me extremely pleased is the sound signature. HECATE has not disappointed me before, but these are very well-tuned for any type of listening. The 8mm dynamic driver does a great job with impactful bass, adding that sub-bass or “subwoofer” feeling without muddling the sound. The mids are present, although a bit recessed, the treble makes up for it, adding clarity without fatigue or sibilance. The channel separation is very well implemented, but I wish there was a better soundstage. In the end, I found that the sound signature added quite a bit to my gaming and content-consuming experience.Would I recommend these? YES, definitely! Even if you are not a gamer per se, the sound signature alone is worth the asking price.

Operational for 2.4 months but definitely enjoyed them while they worked...
I finally lost my gen1 apple airpods and bought these on a black friday sale so those are my basis of comparison;battery was bettercase opening and determining which was left and which was right was a slight learning curvebuilt-in voice notifications were pleasant soundingnever had noise cancellation and the other advanced features and they were functionalLED lights were pretty cool/different toobase stopped working after a little over 2 months so the buds followed suit not being able to charge anymore.. :(

Fully featured and beautifully crafted design
The media could not be loaded. This has got to be the most interestingly designed case and user experience that I have ever seen on bluetooth earbuds. This case is really neat. I usually stay away from too many colorful lights for gaming hardware, but this is a good use of lighting effects. I am also impressed by the attention to detail in the design of the user experience. There are three listening modes: "ambient sound" (transparency), "normal" (ANC and transparency disabled) and "noise reduction" (active noice canceling). To toggle these just tap on the side of the earbuds twice to cycle through these. It's funny that the voice stating which mode you are in (yes, there is a lady's voice calling out the functions of the earbuds) says noise "reduction" and not noise "canceling" because that is much more accurate. This pair of headphones doesn't remove much ambient noises like fan noise, AC or plane noises (I tested with recorded ambient sounds). It does attenuate them, which is actually fine.Like with other headsets, in "ambient sound" mode (or transparency mode) wind really made the feature not work well and it's a bit of a hit and miss. Depending on the distance and intensity of the sounds (people talking, keyboard sounds, TV in background) this mode will reproduce them. But I can't tell how to make it work the best yet.Sound quality is quite nice. I appreciate the bass and mid ranges in these. Often times with some bluetooth ANC headphones, when you turn on ANC there is a distinct difference in sound quality. These don't have that problem. Between "normal" and "noise reduction" mode, audio quality does not degrade. When listening to music, the "wear detection" feature is quite nice. I experienced this in other headsets and it's a good feature to have. Two things I really disliked are: (1) the fact that the controls are "taps" on the ears. And these earbuds are in your ear. So it's like a loud thud whenever I tap on theses. If I use my pinkies to tap it's not as bad. And (2) the audio quality on phone calls is very poor. I cannot use these on video conference calls to present anything as I was told it sounded very compressed. That's also the case with another major brand's true wireless earbuds. But I wish the microphone's audio quality for phone calls and video calls was a bit better. This is a good product. Tells a story and has a good user experience.
