Legends II: Shadows, Gods, and Demons

Legends II is a great quick read. It gives you a glimpse of several different authors and their style, allowing you the opportunity to delve into their worlds and decide if you would like to follow-up on their other stories. I enjoyed them all, some more than others, of course, but would highly recommend this book to anyone "beginning" in fantasy science fiction. Pick it up, read it....you won't be disappointed other than you'll probably be longing for more to read by these fabulous authors!

A good mix of stories that kept me entertained, however i mainly bought it for the Robin Hobb story as it is part of series i was reading.

No one writes better than Anne McCaffrey IMO. sad day when she passed. will never get to read the ending that she was working on when she left.

This is only half of the legends book. The other authors are great but the whole reason i bought this was for the grrm dunk and egg story.... THAT IS NOT IN THIS BOOK. This is only half of the book and does not include the most important story. In the summary it said grrm had a story in this book and he does but in the other half which is SOLD SEPARATELY!!!

As stated in the product description, it was used, but in very good condition. It has multiple stories and all are good stories, written by good authors. Not much else to say.

These are typical stories from well-loved authors. No surprises and no complaints.

I bought this book as a birthday present for a friend who likes George R. R. Martin. The fault is all AMAZON.COM'sFault. The product description listed the authors in the book, but George R. R. Martin is NOT, I repeat NOT in thisBook. It turns out that he is in "LEGENDS 2: SHORT NOVELAS BY MASTERS OF MODERN FANTASY. I Personallythink AMAZON.COM Should refund me the money for this book because the seller is not at fault here.

These legendary authors rarely let you down, another great read

Good little book, giving you a number of small stories from some great writers giving you a small taste of there work allowing you to pick the next series you want to read.

False item descriptionDoes not contain almost half of the authors listed, specifically the Geroge R.R. Martin story "The Hedge Knight: Sworn Sword" which was the only reason I bought it

Upset. I purchased the book as a Christmas gift, believing it had one of George R.R. Martin's short stories in the collection (as it states in the description). I am very disappointed.
