Pretty good for the price
I have had this chest expander for over 6 years now and it still works just fine. I have used it plenty and only one of the springs has permanently stretched out a little bit. That being said I only use it for reverse flies for hitting my rear delts. For anyone who is tall or has long arms might be more prone to stretching the springs out permanently. The quality is pretty good for the price. It doesn't compare to the vintage chest expanders quality. (Spenby, Terry, Sandow) But it surely gets the job done just fine!

Put it somewhere you'll see it often & pick it up when you see it
I don't get why it's called a chest expander. It seems a great back strengthener. Built-in hand grippers are a bit wimpy for guys. 30-40 lbs resistence I guess. Expander is pretty stout for a beginner with shoulder injury. I've begun with 3 springs (wimp!) but hope too improve as injured shoulder strenghthens. Will update in a few months.

Its good
If you use only 3 strings for like 2 months like i did every day , the strings will open up and will not stay closed properly . Even though it is worth it for that much money

Works Okay
Not crazy about the handles, but they work alright. The springs are a little better quality than some I've tried, but still don't have the flexibility to where I can use it for doing fly's from behind my back. It would have been nicer if the springs had a little more flexibility or they were about 3 inches longer. Starting to see a little stretch in the springs. Would probably work great it it was just used for chest pulls.

upper body chest pull
i was looking for this product for years in local sporting goods stores with out sucess, i was not happy with the rubber band exerciser product. this is an oldie but goodie exerciser. product arrived early and was undamaged but package was in rough shape.

Finger exerciser and chest pull in one. Appears sturdy and durable.
I strongly recommend this Como expander because :(1) It has 2 exercisers, one for the fingers, one for the arms and legs.(2) Sturdy built, probably last a long time.(3) All metal (stainless steel) springs outlast springs made ofelastic bands.(4) Adjustable. You can exercise with 1 to 5 springs by unhooking the springs.(3) Delivered within 10 days from Hong KongPlease click "Yes" below this line if this review was helpful to you.

It is a great one
The product is great. The number of springs can be changed. It is a great product. It helps me to build muscles! However, my girlfriend asks me not to use it anymore, since it is dangerous. One of my firend's friend has something similar (not this product), and it broke, making him severely injured. I was so afraid that it may happen to me, so I go to look for something instead (something not metal).

Nostalgia revisited.
OK, what did I expect. Metal springs being stretched close to vulnerable skin and hair! The product works as advertised, but to be honest every time I stretched it it was an adventure in exfoliation. I have since gone to rubber strands, but for living on the edge nostalgia, this does the trick.

Chest expander
So far so good. Only concern may be the plastic handles.

Bad
When I received this I had to pay a extra £12 postage fee, and when I got it out the box right away I could pull all 5 springs with no restriction, where as on my other one I have I can only pull 2 in sets and 3 springs if I really tried. With all that said the expander does have good grips.

Red Black plastic handle 5 spring chest arm expander
With 5 springs, it was too powerful, removed two springs, attached to a previous handle, now I have two, which satisfies my needs. Happy !
