Great Grill, Smart Features Still Primitive
Overall: This is a quality Weber grill, so far I've had no issues with temperature control or any other issue. The smart features are a fun toy, but still very first generation. The smart features aren't a deal breaker, but it does feel like they will get better in future models.Good: No complaints on the quality of the grill. Assembly was mostly pain free and took about 3 hours with a pair of hands helping. After 2 months of use, I have not noticed any issues and each time I use it I'm really happy with the purchase. The quality of this grill is exactly what I expected from Weber.Bad: The smart features are still pretty limited. You can check temperature remotely for either the grill or using temperature probes. You can also set timers from the app or temperature notifications, I wish there were more options like a warning if temperature gets out of a certain bound. The location of the usb-c port is also annoying, it doesn't feel like it was placed in a convenient location for battery placement. This along with the limited app features and some confusing smart feature specific installation instructions, makes me wonder if the smart features are a focus for Weber or an afterthought.

Great Grill
I've been using Webber Grills for the past twenty some years. I used Cheap grills before that but they would only last me about one year, (I grill a lot.) Webber grills cost about three times more than other grills but they last five times longer and give a much better grilling experience. This is my first Genesis, I had been using Spirit Grills. It's like moving up from the Chevrolet to a Lincoln. I also like being able to monitor the temperature from my phone. I make chicken and I like to grill it slowly for at least an hour. Before, I had to check it every 5 minutes and use a raise platform. Now I can cook right on the grill using the outside burners and only turn it every fifteen minutes. I will warn the buyer that putting this thing together is not for the faint of heart. The instructions could have been more detailed. It took me two days but only about five hours of actual work time.

High Quality Grill
This arrived via amazon delivery, one corner of the box was badly crushed, but due to the amazing packing the grill was not damaged at all. I've had cheaper grills made of mostly aluminum and they weigh about 80lbs. This grill was 180lbs because of the heavy steel used to make it. Set up was great with the BILT app. You need two people to put the main cooking compartment onto the base. The solid blue flame was also a big step up from cheaper grills. The heat distribution was amazing. Grill grates were heavy and substantial. I really like the weber connect app. It gives you the choice to just use bluetooth or extend your range also using wifi. We opted to buy a small battery pack to run the temperature controls instead of running an extension cord. The grill heats very quickly. I purchased several weber crafted items for this grill such as the pizza stone, rotisserie, kabob rack and flat top griddle. I haven't received them yet, so I can't review them. Another thing I like, the grill has four wheels, so no more picking up one end and moving the grill around on two wheels. It also has a holder for the LP tank. It tells you in the app and inside the lower cabinet how much LP you have left in your tank by weight. Keep in mind this grill doesn't have a temperature gage on the grill lid, it runs electronically on the LCD display to tell you the internal temp of the unit. So you have to plug it in or use a USB battery pack to get the grill temp. The pull out grease management system is a breeze. pull it out, remove the disposable tray and replace with a new one. No more nasty grease cup, mold and bugs. I found the branded black weber grill cover expensive at 100 bucks. I found a cheaper better made grill cover in a light tan for 39 bucks. Keep in mind, the two side prep areas do not collapse, so make sure you get a grill cover that will fit the full side to side length. Overall, this grill was an investment, but with the amazing warranty I plan to have it for many years to come.

Frame was bent up
The grill is amazing but during install, I noticed the frame is bent. I used a rubber mallet to straighten but it is still off. The doors are not level because of this. But, the grill works great!

Perfect grill
Since we have natural gas for our grill, it can be difficult to replace an old grill. This one is excellent. Very happy with the equal heat while grilling.

Our Best Grill Ever
We had a Weber propane grill in the past. We liked it and used it so much we wore it out. We tried a pellet smoker/grill for the bast 6 years and it was ok. The added smoke flavor was a nice addition, but it was more of a hassle to use and maintain than a gas grill. Additionally, it took 15 minutes to reach grilling temperatures, and cost a lot more to run. So it getting another Weber, this time we selected the natural gas version. We had our wood fireplace replaced with a gas fireplace , and while the crew was here we had them run a second gas line to the deck where the new Weber would be located. This is the happiest we've been with any grill. No monitoring propane levels, no switching propane tanks, and much cheaper to run than propane or pellets. Even if you don't have access to natural gas where you grill and have to get the propane tank version, the Weber Genesis 2 grill is fantastic.
