Civilized Coffee Decaffeinated Instant Assam Black Tea Powder for Hot Tea, Iced Tea & Baking (8oz)

I’ll start in with the mixology aspect: I sometimes enjoy this hot, for a quick cup of hot tea, and when using it with hot water there’s absolutely no problem mixing and dissolving it thoroughly. But, I mainly use this for iced tea to have trouble-free quick and ready iced tea whenever I want it (no more hot brewing like I used to do) and of course that means using it with cold water. The slight downside to using it with cold water is that since it’s such a finely ground powder that it does not mix easily, at least not with using a spoon, and can tend to leave lumps that won’t completely dissolve. And so, I’ve found that the best way to thoroughly mix this into cold water is to shake it up vigorously.I regularly use a growler (a large 50-ounce vacuum flask), so I’ll fill it up about two thirds of the way (saving room for ice) and use about a half to ¾ of a teaspoon of product, put the lid on and shake it up for about 25 seconds, which is about the time necessary to make sure all and any lumps are all thoroughly dissolved. For smaller amounts I’ll use a jelly jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake it up the same.I like how this tea has good flavor and that I can enjoy it straight up with nothing else but ice. I like how this decaff version allows me to enjoy great tea taste without any stimulation on my CNS. I like a little caffeine and so I mix a very small amount of the Oolong instant powder which has a lot of caffeine (and also a lot of good Oolong flavor).I have been enjoying this tea a lot in the short time that I’ve had it, I can drink it just about all day long, I will buy it again and I highly recommend it.

This tea has a smooth taste I use it to make quick Thai tea. It’s so much tastier than the major name brand and it’s one quarter the cost! It’s great for a quick cuppa tea and it made my camping trip so enjoyable to quickly grab a cup and relax with the beautiful views. Great taste great cost and ease of use what could be better

What a great idea -- instant Assam! I find it takes a lot of the powder to get a full brewed-tea taste, but I'm giving it 4 stars (rather than 3) because I love how adding just a bit of it to my brewed decaf tea makes that taste stronger and adds that Assam taste. Dissolves easily and completely because it's not leaves, it's actually dehydrated tea. Pleased -- will purchase again and keep on hand all the time.

Ran out of jar of a major brand decaf instant tea powder. Replacement would have been pricey. This product is very affordable, tea tastes great and I don't have to make a pitcher. I will reorder to keep me stocked for warm days on the terrace!

I’ve only had it iced so far but it has a really good flavor and mixes well. I do mix it with a bit of hot water ( and sugar ) first. I bought it after trying the new Nestea ice tea powder that had almost no flavor. I do use twice as much as they say to though ; they suggest 1/4 teaspoon for 8 ounces of water.

Just adding a few drops of vanilla extract, allulose sugar substitute (and a dash of ground star anise if you have it) plus half & half makes a fantastic low-carb decaf Thai iced tea. I hope they keep this in stock.

I used to buy Lipton's instant tea that would come in a glass jar, but after many disappointments from the sellers (lost in transit(?) or broken and not replaceable) I decided to give this a try as the reviews were good. I like that it has a strong flavor and very little is needed for that. And it is a good value for the price considering that Lipton was on the pricier side and I needed to use a lot to get a good flavor. And since this tea is on the stronger flavor side I get more with using less. If you know what I mean. I really enjoy this tea.
