The problem with this support stand isn't with the stand itself, but the installation is a problem. It comes with a small T10 Torx screwdriver to remove two of the screws on the main covering plate to the TouchMix-30 where the stand will be connected. Unfortunately QSC has torqued down the screws to the point that the small Torx screwdriver can't generate enough force to remove those screw without stripping the screw head. In my case I had a brand new unit which I'd had for 2 days. After a lot of tough manipulation I finally got one screw removed. The second screw never budged but it did strip out once I applied enough pressure. The unit had to be sent in to QSC and replaced with a new unit. As soon as the new unit came in I tried to remove the screws again but had the same problem and decided send back the support stand as I didn't feel like replacing the whole mixing board again. Whatever you do, DO NOT TRY AND DO THIS IF YOUR UNIT IS OUT OF WARRANTY!!! Once the screw head is stripped there's no way for the unit to ever be serviced without drilling out that screw. Very poor design and quality assurance testing of the installing procedures by QSC!!!!!

I was expecting this to be a thinner steel. Turns out it’s pretty heavy duty.
