I admit it...I have a highlighter addiction. I probably have more highlighter products than any one person could possibly use in a lifetime. That being said, it takes a lot for me to be impressed and takes even more to fall in love with a highlighter and use it until it's empty. This highlighter is going to be one of these products. It. Is. Spectacular.I have the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick and the Master Steobing Liquid and love them both, but I live in TX so sometimes cream based products just don't wear long in the heat and humidity. So, when I saw they were releasing a metallic pressed powder I was over the moon.I had been hunting for this in every store to no avail so I decided to just order it. It came in perfect condition, thankfully.This highlighter is a gorgeous warm gold that is multi faceted and has a gorgeous metallic like shift. Typically golds aren't my go-to's. I'm NC20 for reference and finding golds that suit my complexion can be a bit challenging. Most are too yellow (Lime Crime I'm looking at you) but this is probably the most flattering gold I have ever worn.The formula is amazing. It is SOO pigmented and buttery. It buildable and blendable, and it sheers out beautifully. This highlighter is seriously 100x better than highlighters I've bought that are quadruple the cost.I am obsessed with it!It's affordable, it's gorgeous, it's long wearing, it's not too glittery...it's perfect. Yes...I said perfect.The ONLY thing that would make this product better is...(Maybelline are you listening?) expanding the shade range. I will buy them ALL.If I could give it 10 stars I would. Buy it. Buy it now.If you want a gorgeous highlighter that isn't going to make you cringe when you see the price, this is it ladies.Maybelline has stepped up their game in a serious way with this product, and other highlighters should be scared. This is proof that amazing quality doesn't have to be crazy expensive. Well done Maybelline. Give me more.

After a lot of searching, I chose this highlighter. Works exactly as I wanted. Very small amount does what I wanted.

I saw an ad for Maybelline Makeup Master Chrome Metallic Face Highlighter in a magazine and it looked stunning on the model. I usually shun anything glittery because I am older and don't want to look clownish but this highlighter looked so pretty that I had to check it out. I couldn't decide which shade to buy so I bought both! The price was so low that I felt it was worth trying both ro find the one that looked best on my skin.These compacts look like powder but are softer, like a powder-cream. It's hard to explain the consistency but it is very nice. I don't see any glitter in these. It is more of a sheen. I use an angled brush to apply to my upper cheeks and sometimes in the corners of my eyes and down my nose. very lightly, mind you. Both shades work fine for my medium toned skin. I have yellow undertones but the gold shade does not make my skin look more yellow. It just adds a bit of sheen like a light bounced off my face. Both shades are subtle and concentrated. You can use just a bit for a touch of highlighting or more for a glamorous look. I stick with just a little. I am 50 and I don't feel foolish wearing this highlighter. It really does make my face pop but subtly.My only one issue is that the highlighter seems to wear off after about four hours. It is just barely there after that. I do set it with setting spray but I still find that it fades. Still, for the low cost and the pretty - not garish - highlighting, I am more than willing to sweep a bit more across my cheekbones when needed. I don't have a favorite shad. The rose gold blends more with pink or red blush and the gold is just a little more obvious. Both seem to work fine with my skintone. I removed a star for the longevity issue but I will repurchase these highlighters when the time comes. They're unique and have just the right amount of sheen to look natural and pretty, not glittery.

This is the best highlighter at a drugstore price for fair, pinkish/cool-toned skin I’ve ever found. Make sure you get the rose gold if you are cool toned. It has just the right shimmer and reflection without chunky pieces of glitter. I love it. The only problem is that it is SO VERY buttery (which I LOVE - plus it’s easy to blend because of how buttery it is) but due to the texture being so soft and buttery the makeup will completely fall apart and shatter if you accidentally drop it or if you throw it in your purse and it clangs around against other items. I’ve repurchased this item around 15 times. It should have lasted me a good 6 months at least since a little goes a long way with this highlighter, but the makeup always ends up breaking apart. That is why I would take away a star.

Product is great and I've been using it for years. Love the subtle color and shine for a blush. I know this is an inexpensive product but my BIGGEST complaint is the compact structure. The lid breaks off Every.Single.Time I've used it and again, this has been for years. I open and close it SO carefully and slowly hoping it won't happen but no go. And you can't fit it back on! I have to carry a little baggie to put it in when I travel. The product price has been going up so why can they not put more thought into this issue. So frustrating for sure.
