FRAM PH9837- Spin-On Oil Filter- (6-Pk.)
The items delivered, were exactly as described by the seller. They arrived on time, securely packaged & were undamaged. These were item-specific for my 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT (SUV) & I've got installing these down to a science. They're are several positives about this filter; ease of fit, quality filter, but the biggest for me, is the rubber surface on the bottom of the filter! With a dry & clean hand, I can get a secure grip on the filter & torque it hand tight, as much as I can & I've never had one come loose on me & I can always or most always remove it by hand too! If I can't being 57-yrs. old now, I've got 2-sons that are able to remove it by hand. No more filter-straps or looking for the right size end-caps for the filter. Very-pleased with product & loved the bulk (6-pk.) purchase!

Good quality filters
These are good quality filters.The only improvement I would love to see is a nut on the end (like the K&N oil filters) for installation and removal ease in challenging filter locations.

Appears new
Appears to be in the proper Fram box and appears to be new. Have used Fram products for decades--TV commercial where the actor portrays a "mechanic"...He says "pay me now, or pay me later" while holding a Fram oil filter.On another note, I needed a new PCV valve for my 1996 Chevrolet pickup, could not find a new one that did not leak--Tried Car Quest, 2 NAPA stores, O'Reilly, Advance Auto, and Auto Zone. Ordered a new Fram from Rock Auto only to find it also leaked...Called Fram claims department...Was explained that thanks to recent EPA rules the design is for the PCV valves to "leak" slightly,..The leaking totally defeats the purpose of the valve, so I washed out my 10 year old valve with carbureator cleaner and compressed air and reinstalled it as I've done for years, it leaks much less than the new ones. The fella at Fram indicated they would soon be phasing out ALL PCV valves due to newer vehicles not requiring them.
