Good mid-range phone
I bought this phone to replace an iPhone 13 Pro, in advance of a trip to South America. I did not want to travel with a £1000 phone which immediately draws attention. My observations. The phone is plastic and can be carried without a case by those who don't drop their phones too often. I do this as have added a screen protector. While it feels cheap, it's quite light.I have used iPhones for 10 years, my last Android was a disaster. Apps were poorly designed, battery use was excessive and the operating system had no logic.Since then, Android has come a long way while the iPhone has largely stagnated. You still need to spend a day setting it up, download the Google keyboard, go through all the settings etc. You can easily import most of your files from your iPhone. Passwords were the only exception. The screen is bright, large and very good.Professional reviewers have said that this is a slow phone. For normal users this won't be noticeable. I don't use it for editing or games. Just maps, internet, apps, music and photos and it's fine for those uses.Samsung's ecosystem is quite good, except for the bloatware. In particular, its.email client and browser are better than the Google ones. The camera is fine, not as good as a flagship phone but then again, the S22 is double the price. Battery life is good, will get you through a day.For £300ish, this has to be one of the best phones on the market. You can get cheap Chinese ones but if you want a known brand this my be it.

Good phone let down by camera: terribly slow to take pictures.
It looks and feels good. Coming from a Galaxy S10 Plus to this phone to put my review into context. I figured a brand new mid range phone like this would be on par with my 3 year old flagship S10+ phone. This phone has some better points but one serious downside. The pros: better battery, 120hz refresh rate (I didn't notice any difference but the S10+ doesn't have this) and that's about it. The serious downsides are as follows: No wireless charging, bit sluggish performance in general, No headphone jack (I have a pair of wireless overear headphones and also wireless earphones and actually these also came bundled with wireless Buds on a promotional deal but the lack of a headphone jack is still unwelcome), lastly and most importantly the cameras on this phone are dreadful. Not the picture quality, which is fine, but the time it takes to open the camera app and then to actually take a picture. I'm not sure what the issue is, maybe the processor or the ram just isn't up to the job but it always leads to frustration with me missing moments I wanted to capture because the camera was just too slow and the moment passed or it caused people to say take the picture already and I couldn't because either the app hadn't opened or the phone just wouldn't let me snap a photo. It seriously takes 2-3 seconds between each photo. It was impossible to take photos any faster than this. In the end I've sold the phone after 10 weeks bought another flagship phone which can snap easily 20-30 photos in the time it took this phone to take 2. I'm not exaggerating either. If photogaphy is a big deal for you in a phone give this one a miss. If you couldn't care less for photography then I would recommend this as a decent phone for the price.

Life Hack
This phone is as powerful and versatile as any of the latest models. I know people like to be fashionable and own the latest model but why pay £1500 to buy it straight from the factory when you can wait two years and pay £250? You'll be saving tens of thousands if you stop buying new every other year.

It's from Bulgaria!
Needed new handset as 4 year old S9's battery was terrible. This is a decent package, screen good, battery excellent, easy data transfer. Arrived as promised, all good.Until I tried to set up Samsung Pay. Couldn't set it up.Got in touch with Samsung help and it turns out the handset is Bulgarian sourced, where Samsung Pay doesn't operate.Ultimately not a real problem, but would have been nice to know before buying off this particular vendor.
