It seems to me, that the base should be already on the pitcher when you buy it, especially considering it's such an important and integral part of the process. I understand that the filters are a separate purchase, and you have to buy them repeatedly. But having to buy the silicone base of the water pitcher separately is scrooge-like. I did buy it because it stabilizes the pitcher. It is designed to fit well and it does fit perfectly, goes on easily. But really.

This base fits easily over the pitcher and the pitcher doesn't slip around on the countertop or make any noise when you sit it down. Protects the pitcher, too. So glad I purchased it with my pitcher. Highly recommend it.

The filtration is great, the pitchers have a design flaw. Where the bottom of the pitcher is fused to the body of the pitcher is prone to cracking. These silicone bases are a must.

I love this because it just makes the pitcher look better and also when you rest it down it's just not on the plastic.

A must have to protect the Lifestraw pitcher. I think it should be included with the pitcher as buying it separately adds to the expense of an already expensive pitcher. Besides that its easy to fit and use.

Goes on easy and stays on. I don’t have to worry about wearing out the glass bottom and having it break.
