The timer on our microwave wasn’t working well, husband wanted these to time the cooking time when he used our microwave. They are well made, very cute, work well. As a bonus, our 4 year old grandson is mesmerized by them!

I use this in DnD game to give players a sense of time to solve problems. It's fun to watch their faces when I take one out, flip it over and say "Go."

Nice, but they can break if dropped

The shorter timers (up to 10 minutes) are great! Work really well as a visual for my kids. But, the longer timers frequently get stuck. It seems like they put smaller and smaller holes in the timer to increase the time it takes for the sand to go through. But it would work better to have bigger holes with more sand.

When we received the package, one timer had a crack in it but it still worked.I don't recommend these if you plan on letting your kids handle them. The plastic base on each end isn't enough to buffer them from a fall.Most of them have broken by now when they fall on the floor and have had to be replaced with ones that are more sturdy and the glass is encased in plastic.

These timers rely on narrowing the neck between the chambers more than on adding more sand. This makes them less accurate (as a small variation in the amount of sand is a larger percentage of the total). This also means that the chances of the sand jamming in the neck and “pausing” the timer is higher.

Love the set but really sad the 30 min timer is sticking so the time isn’t accurate.

The sand on two of the timers gets stuck and stands still. Even with tapping it, it gets jammed. Not recommended.
