Used on Kettle Joe
I used this on My Kettle Joe Smoker/grill. It stuck great and sealed the gap to not allow heat loss

Easy fit
Fit my smoker perfectly

I would buy it again.
I haven't had it long enough to rate the durability, but it does stick good to the surface. I bought it to seal the door of my pellet smoker to keep smoke from escaping around the edges. It does a good job near the top and on the sides where there is more pressure applied from the weight of the door, but around the bottom edge where's there's not as much pressure, it still allows a little smoke to escape. Overall, I would say that I'm satisfied with the job it's doing.

Keeps Smoke where it belongs in the Smoker
I added the Onlyfire high heat BBQ gasket to my CampChef DLX smoker lid. Although the Camp Chef lid fits properly, it does not have an “air-tight” seal between the top and smoker body. Adding the Onlyfire BBQ high heat gasket replacement to the top enhanced the seal between the hinged top and Camp Chef body to a point where NONE of the smoke (and heat) escaped the top body interface. The addition of the Onlyfire BBQ gasket replacement allowed my Camp Chef smoker to reach an internal tempretures in excess of 500 F (260 C), which is essential to properly cook a pizza in the smoker. Also, adding the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket improved the smoke flow within the Camp Chef DLX smoker around the food being prepared and out the chimney as designed by the smoker manufacture. Unfortunately, no matter the design of smokers with hinged lids, there is never a tight fit between the hinged top and the smoker body. Use of the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket soles this problem simply and inexpensively.Although Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket is great, I must deduct one star due to the difficulty in peeling the paper from the adhesive to allow affixing the gasket to the grill or smoker. Durability was not rated as the Onlyfire BBQ replacement gasket has only been on my Camp Chef DLX smoker for a week at the time of this review.

Easy to install after proper preparation of the surface
Once I removed the old seal from the door and cleaned the surface, it was very easy to put the new seal in place. I used the smoker this past weekend and it worked flawlessly.

keeps the smoke in !
This seal was not the most expensive on Amazon. However, it works well. I cleaned the lid of my smoker and put it on. The adhesive seems good so far. I have done two smokes, and it has held up. I don't see smoke escape from the lid anymore. As an added bonus when I close the lid it is quite..no metal on metal sound.

Exactly what I needed
I just bought a new smoker and the gasket on the feed box did not seal very well. I added this to the existing gasket. Problem solved.

Melted on first use
Won't burn, won't melt... Yeah right... I used my smoker to grill some steaks and this is what happened, on first use. That's unfortunate because it did a good job at sealing. But this is not nomex and it melts.Do not buy!

Not capable of withstanding very high heat
The media could not be loaded. This very well mite work well on certain applications. I made a fire place for camping and used it to seal the door. Its probably over 1000 degrees and this product is not capable of withstanding the heat. It both shrunk and adhesive bured up until it simply fell off picture included.

Trying to quit smoking?
The media could not be loaded. I bought a Traeger Silverton form my local Costco this summer and although the grill is grate (get it?), it does lack a good seal in it. I've seen many guys mod their grills with the "lavalok" type stuff so I hopped on-line to find something. The branded stuff is quite expensive so I decided I would settle on this one for less money. The specs are all the same and I presume the materials are also similar. I can't compare to the branded stuff for sure as I don't have any to compare to.This product seemed to fit the bill. It came simply packaged and was easy to manipulate. The installation was super simple since all I had to do was pretty much clean the grill with some degreaser and follow up with a bit of rubbing alcohol. After that, I just trimmed it to size and stuck it down. The material feels quite firm and it sticks amazingly well to a clean surface. I had a bit of tough time trying to remove it to place it differently but it still worked. I'd suggest you make sure of where you want it before you start sticking it down fully.Once I was done, I fired up the grill to see. I was a bit disappointed to see that some smoke was still leaking out but it was by far way better than it was. The only part that was really tough to regulate was the top back of the lid. The spacing gap is a bit larger there and I should maybe apply some to both the grill and the lid. The only issue with that is that it makes it quite a bit thicker and tough to close the lid properly.Overall, it does a good job. I think the felt should probably be a bit thicker and more dense to work even better though. Application is easy and it does hold in the smoke in much better than if nothing was there. I would still recommend this as a solution especially considering the price point.Pros:Easy to installSticks really wellDoes a decent job at sealing the grillCons:Could be a bit thickerDoes still let some smoke through the felt

There's a knack to peeling the back off...
A lot of the reviews I have seen are saying that the back is hard to peel off - And it is, but that's because the sticky on this is very good. There's a knack though which makes it easy and I will attempt to explain!Don't peel it from an end or a corner, that's a mistake - Because this stuff is soft and furry it's probably not going to work. Instead hold it so you have a long edge with the white backing upwards, hold it tightish and pull the fabric downwards away from the backing. with a finger across the edge of the white strip.I am probably not explaining it brilliantly, and I tried a photo and it was pointless :) But do it from the edge, peel the furry bit away from the backing, you'll work it out!In other news, this is a very long roll, it'll cover a big smoker! It is very sticky, and it works well. I will give it a rare five stars, I think, because it was perfect for what I needed.
