Fit perfectly and works as it should

Great for converting my old Echo CS-305 16 inch saw to a 12 inch. I have other, more powerful 16 inch saws, and wanted to take advantage of the smaller Echo for small jobs by reducing weight and chain drag. This bar got it done beautifully. Perfect!

What I expected

I wanted a multi-use chain saw, particularly one that would be comfortable and easy to use for a long day of work. I found that my Echo CS-310 16" saw manual indicated this 12" bar was compatible. Despite not seeing this particular model on this listing, I took a chance and secured this bar and some 12" chains. Sure enough, it all came together just fine.I have to tell you, I love this saw a lot more with a small bar. It's good for pretty much anything up to 10" diameter, the overwhelming majority of what I'm cutting. It particular excels in debranching felled trees or just general trim work. I find it's much more comfortable to use, resulting in less fatigue and longer sessions, a great safety addition for me. It also helps my Echo fit my general saw lineup quite well. I can convert this Echo from 12" to 16" if needed, or break out my larger saws (18" and 24") for when I really need those capabilities. This was a much better approach than adding a fourth saw to my lineup.
