Q: How many of you who have had this tea kettle for longer than a year, have found rust in the kettle?

I've had my kettle for almost 3 years and no rust at all. I live in a dry climate, so maybe that affects it differently than those who've had rust issues.

Q: The instructions says not to refill the hot kettle with cold water, but can it be refilled with warm water?

I use filtered tap water at the temperature it comes out. As long as your water is not shockingly cold it should be fine. Also, the worry here is that the cast extreme temperature change may crack the enamel. That happening would be rare. I have had no issues with it and I refill it constantly for tea, like 8 times a day. You should not need to fill it with hot water.

Q: Is the inside of this kettle polished stainless steel, same as the exterior?

No. The interior is a satin finish ( not shiny) stainless steel.

Q: Where is it made? France? Thailand?

I have purchased two of these Le Creuset 1.2 Quart stainless steel kettles. The first one, which i bought over a year ago, was made in Thailand. The second one, which I bought a few months ago, was made in China.
