Highly informative/ Well worth the cost
The book itself is very high quality and I can see it lasting for many years to come. This book is perfect for anyone looking for an in-depth, educated commentary of the Koran from an Islamic perspective. This book has clarified many things which I was previously unsure about. Though, I would recommend at least a limited background in Islamic studies and knowledge of Islam due to the niche and highly advanced topics covered in this book.

Quran with shameful rubber like cover.
This item is advertised as leather but it is in fact some sort of creepy rubber/ who knows what covering. Come on you can do better than that. Expect it to start peeling or cracking. It's a shame to cover a holy Quran like this.

A hard but enlightening read.
Any reader of the Quran knows that it is largely, if not entirely, an assertion that there is only one God, and you will fry in hell if you believe otherwise. How so much more can be read into this simple assertion is where this book takes you, and it gives you a front-row-center look at the Islamic mindset. As with all religious tomes, "Exegesises," and commentaries, there is nearly as much baseless facts and lame rationalizations as a Kelly Conway interview, and this book is no slouch in that department. The, "This is true because we said so, and we believe it," approach of the author(s) begins to get tiresome...but now for the good news. The beauty, poety, and mystique of the Quran is not overlooked one bit. The book does indeed thoroughly help the reader examine the meaning of the surahs and verses, and one develops a deeper understanding of Islam and muslim thinking for having read it. Although I'm not a muslim, I'm a regular reader of the Quran simply because it has the most beautiful passages, prayers, and descriptions of Allah, which brings me a strong sense of peace. I would strongly recommend reading the Quran without commentary BEFORE reading this book. Let the Quran have its way with you first...then plunge into commentary that is obvious one man's personal and overly assertive take on his understanding of it.
