Impressive piece of equipment.
this is without a doubt the best food processor I've ever owned. Yes, it's on the pricey side, but everything about it is beautifully made, heavy duty, and perfectly fitted with no sloppy parts rattling around. High quality all the way around. I can shred a whole head of cabbage in just a couple of minutes. I've even used it to make ground meat. It's handles everything we've thrown at it, from making salad dressing to shredding cheese to grinding meat.

Best food processor ever~!
I love this Cuisinart, I had a smaller one before but love this size and thought I would try this one as I had read the great reviews. And I agree that it is awesome and I love how it is engineered with all the parts fitting into the device without needing an extra appliance to store the parts!

Only one faul tin this terrific mixer
Super fast, light weight compared to old mixers, best bit of kitchen self indulgence ever. One fault - cooks beware! If you are mixing a recipe such as pastry where the flour and butter are mixed into crumbs before adding liquid, then add an extra 1/2 to 3/4 of a tablespoon of flour. As you mix with the lid on the flour distributes itself onto a lip at the top of the bowl and it's fiddly, irritating and time-consuming to brush it back into the bowl and incorporate it after the pastry is prepped. This is very important if you are making small quantities of pastry (or similar process recipe) eg using 4-6 oz of butter/8-10 oz flour. Might not matter for large quality recipes, but I always prep my pastry in small quantities for a finer finish.

Mostly Good
I just used my new food processor for the first time. I noticed a few things that could be done better. The first and most important thing I noticed is that the gear mechanism in the base isn’t sealed to keep liquid from going down into the motor. The bottom of the bowl must be thoroughly dried before placing it back onto the base. The inside of the bowl is well sealed when it is put together, so I don’t think liquid will leak out of the bowl and into the motor. The paddles are open as well, and liquid could drip into the motor from the area around the paddles. The gear mechanism is all plastic, and seems rather flimsy. It may be fine. Time will tell. My last very minor gripe is that the lock for the bowl turns clockwise, and the lock for the little pieces in the food pusher turn counter clockwise. Hmm…Must have been designed by committee. Now for all of the positives. I sliced sweet potatoes to roast. Worked like a charm, and so fast. The slices were nice and even in spite of me not using steady pressure. I shredded a cooked chicken breast with the S blade and that worked well and was really easy, too. And lastly, I shredded a whole block of cheddar cheese in two seconds. I only had a tiny little piece of cheese left on the top of the shredding disk. Clean up between tasks, and the final clean up was a breeze. I filled a sink with hot soapy water. Each time I took the bowl off I gave it a quick rinse, and then a good hard swish in the soapy water, and another rinse to get off the soap, and it was ready to go again. The only pain was having to carefully dry the bottom of the bowl each time. It is really nice that all the pieces fit in the bowl for storage. That is a nice feature. Bottom line…I think in the long run I am really going to like this food processor. I bought it to do the prep work for making large batches of dog food for my best friend. I spent hours prepping the vegetables and potatoes for the first batch all by hand with a knife and box grater. Now it should be pretty easy. I bought the dicing attachment which I haven’t received yet. I will update my review after I have tried it out. For the price, I think it is a good value. The next better food processor is 2-3 times the price. Update: I received my dicing kit and just tried it out. I diced a whole bowl of carrots, sweet potatoes, and celery. It didn’t do a very good job. I had to stop and clean it out a couple of times. There was quite a bit of waste left on top of the blade. Cleaning out the little squares was a pain even with the cleaning tool. I probably won’t use it again. It just doesn’t work very well. My best friend is going to get her veggies shredded rather than diced. I wouldn’t recommend it. I also bought the small bowl, and that is very useful. I really like it.

Stupid features designed by somebody who doesn't cook
You have to unplug the machine every time you use it otherwise it keeps blinking at you. I've been informed that this is a "safety" feature. Then today I wanted to add flour while the machine was running. You can't do it. It won't run when the big feed tube is out of the machine. And I certainly can't feed the flour down the small tube a teaspoon at a time! And then there's the stupid way they designed the small optional bowl. When you mix dry ingredients in the small bowl, some of it settles on the inner lip of the bigger bowl. Good luck sweeping that back into the small bowl. My machine is practically brand new but I am going to give it away and buy another brand. The thing is really unusable for anybody who uses the machine a lot. It didn't even come with a dough blade. Now how much would that have added to the cost to include one? The only good thing I can say is that it is easier to clean than the old design was. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand machine. This one is just plain annoying.

Great Little Work Horse!
Works great, took a little getting used to coming down from the larger sous chef. It’s a work horse with sharp effective blades. Grateful for the smaller footprint especially the compact storage!

Works Great!
Its a lot bigger then I thought but it is great. I bought the 4.5 cup insert love it. I havent used the slicer or grater yet but it has power and its quick. It really does a good job. I am so happy I have it.
