If adding the extra security bolts on the inside you either need a right angle drill or get creative. I was able to drive a self-taper from the inside to mark a pilot and then drill the proper diameter from the outside (back of the console). If you have other Tuffy products in your Jeep, you can order a lock assembly direct from Tuffy for $9 and have it keyed alike. Just change out the lock assembly then, takes 2 minutes. All and all a nice product. It will fit w/o any modifications . Fits a 38 special revolver short nose plus other stuff. It looks pretty secure. i am sure that if a bad guys had enough time he can break it open. It is good for valet parking or when you can not carry your gun conceal into a establishment. I recommend it.
