I owned a T5MO for eight years before loosing it in a high wind storm that popped up when playing golf that took it to never be seen again. It wasn't the hat's fault, just a freak of nature. I always used the strap when needed and it held well but that was a calm day so no strap. The design with the vent around the top actually helps keep the hat on your head when riding in a cart or facing moderate breezes. The vent also prevents heat buildup, much better than any other style hat I've owned. I can't tell you how many times I washed that hat and it retained its original shape and the fabric had no tears, snags, or wear. Other than the fabric being a little darker, probably due to a little fading over eight years, I can't tell the new one from the lost one. Maybe I can keep this one a little longer.

Inside the hat are the words "made with Canadian persnickitiness", and those words are so true.The hat is durable, looks great no matter how its treated, and does the trick of protecting my husband from the sun.Plus, I love the way it looks on him.Thank you!

I have been wearing baseball type caps for years while golfing and knew that I needed better sun protection but brimmed hats have always been way too big. This has smaller sides but still great sun protection and I have gotten many complements. Just wished it came in more colors

Make sure you get the correct hat size as they show you to do, and you will love this hat for life!

Got as a gift for my father and he LOVES this hat. The brim stays firm and does not flop down giving him the look and sun protection he wants.

Not yet extensively tested but comfortable and well made. Others have advised choosing a size larger than usual. Even using the Tilley measuring guide this hat is on the tight side, go up another size. This is a medium brim and doesn't quite give my face the shade from the sun I was hoping for, but a larger brim might be less useful when wearing a rucksack, or if you need to look up a lot. I suspect I might need a few more hats for different jobs.

I've been wanting one of these for ages and finally found the right size and sent for it. Lightweight and a great fit.
