Basher Science: Engineering: Machines and Buildings

We have purchased several of these books for our daughter as additional reinforcement to concepts she's learning about as a Homeschooler.As a child author herself, she appreciates books that are exceptionally unique in their approach to teaching a particular concept. The Engineering book and Basher's Periodic Table are her favorites so far. The books are presented in such a whimsical, quirky manner and she loves to share the insights from what she's learned. Something about the Basher series feels like he's hit the mark when it comes to creating thoroughly enjoyable informational texts on learning new advanced concepts, broken down into the primary, essential and fundamental basics. Bravo!

My son is a voracious reader. We got him 7 of the Basher Science books for his 8th birthday in late March. He had finished them all by the end of April and has picked them back up again to reread. (2nd grade, reading at a U-level) He won't touch a fiction book unless forced, but if it is about science or technology he can't put it down. Just enough pictures to keep him from feeling intimidated by the text, perfect silliness level to keep him engaged, and more real science facts than he could absorb the first time through.

Basher books are geared to help make education fun and these prices are affordable. I found my third grader reading about the Periodic Table and remembering / understanding what she was reading. We now have all but two and will be getting them soon. Very quick shipping too.

Not quite what I was expecting. The book gives descriptions of bridges, skyscrapers, tools, etc. Not a lot of details of how things actually work. Entertaining nonetheless.

My daughter has most of the Basher book series and can't get enough of them. She loves all things Basher! The information and illustration are a fun and easy way for a child to understand and retain the information that is provided in the book. Really great series of books!

Great book my son who is 5 is fascinated and really tries to understand everything... he’s very observant so this book was perfect for him.

We enjoy and buy every book. Unique format and my son loves these so much, and learned a lot from them!

These are great little books. Very sharp presentation. My kids 10 and 8 both love them. They discuss content after reading.

My 6yo son borrowed this boom from the library over and over! So we brought a copy for him to keep. The pictures are really nice and the words are easy to read and understand for children. My son will choose a page/item from the book and he and his dad will go out and about finding things that use the material or power. The other books in the series are just as good and would recommend for any curious 6+ child

Llegó con las esquinas dobladas y en mal estado como si fuese de segunda mano. Luego el libro es bastante rollo, a mis hijas no les ha gustado nada de nada.

Perfect for young ones to get going. Highly recommended if you want your young ones to start learning about science and technology.
