Great stuff- a must try
This has turned into my main daily tea! Before that was the great Yorkshire teas. It is so mellow and after a couple minutes you can even make a fairly strong second cup with the "used" bag.

Truly a black tea for connoisseurs and everyone else!
This is authentic, expertly crafted black tea. The color is a magnificent, impossibly deep reddish in the cup. It impresses the uninformed guest. It is "thick enough for a mouse to trod on". Compared to the famous and popular Barry's Gold and Barry's Irish Breakfast tea it has almost no bitter aftertaste. That's the main difference. All are exceptional though. Price is excellent value. The world needs to elevate it tastes in all regards and this tea is a great start!

Nice & Strong
I love this blend of Barry’s tea. I always brew for 5 minutes since I like my tea strong. I drink mine with milk and raw sugar for the best cup. It’s not that easy to find at the stores either so when you see it be sure to grab a box, you won’t be sorry.

A great cuppa tea!
I saw quite a few people from Ireland talking about this is the tea one drinks if they want a good cuppa and they weren't lying. I bought both the Gold and Classic and they both are great. The Gold blend actually has a beautiful golden color to it when it is steeped, is strong flavored, so smooth, and not bitter. The Classic blend has a beautiful brown coloration when it is steeped, has a slight malty flavor to it, and is also smooth. I always drink mine with a little half & half and honey, which sometimes can weaken the taste of some teas, but with these teas that's not an issue at all and both the Gold and Classic jeeps their taste. These teas make my morning brighter. The one thing I wanted to mention is I have seen other reviews saying when they received their package their was dark discoloration and it was moldy. They had pictures up on their reviews and it appeared their tea was still wrapped in the plastic. When I received mine I saw the same thing, but I actually opened my package and all that it is is just tea dust from the bags inside. The lid pf the packaging doesn't have a very tight seal and the bags inside aren't in their own separate packaging like some teas are, so some of the dust gets loose. The packaging and teas are fine, clean, and mold free. I'm totally happy with my purchases.

Good strong tea, but lacks the distinctiveness of Barry’s Gold
I’ve long been a fan of Barry’s Gold and have always meant to try the classic (apparently now Masters) blend, but it was always a little too pricey until recently. On its own merits, this is an excellent tea. It takes milk and sugar well and is at its best with just a splash (not too much mind) of milk. It is strong and malty and I will happily enjoy it. That said, it disappoints me slightly for two related reasons.First, it lacks the distinctiveness that, to me at least, makes Barry’s Gold so memorable. Gold blend has a unique flavor and mellowness that I think comes from a higher amount of Kenyan tea in the blend. Be aware that Classic is not a stronger version of Gold and has a more “normal” flavor profile. That’s not a bad thing; this tea is definitely stronger, maltier, and richer than gold. These are all things I like in my tea and again this is a very good tea. Unfortunately, it makes this tea much like other very good teas and thus less memorable. I definitely prefer Thompson’s Punjana original blend and Irish breakfast blend to this tea. While it’s price lately competes with Punjana, the Irish breakfast blend is cheaper. For comparison, I’d say Barry’s Classic is stronger and richer than Yorkshire Red, but much less affordable.

Outstanding robust tea!
I like Barry,s gold and I had been very curious about this so I thought I'd give it a try this review is just for the tea itself which I found to be outstanding as I like a good hearty Brew stands up very well to a little bit of sugar and milk makes a perfect Cuppa my only regret is that the vendor sometimes Runs Out and so I can't always count count on getting this in a timely manner otherwise I would get it a lot more often it's a fantastic wonderful tea and if you like various gold then you'll love Barry's classic Fun note apparently if you look at videos of berries the fella who's in charge of purchasing and inspecting the t's at Barry's prefers this as his go-to Cuppa couldn't ask for a better endorsement.

I Heard About Barry’s From Irish Friends
It’s fantastic strong black tea that doesn’t get bitter. I had been drinking Irish breakfast tea by Twinings and Irish friends snorted at me. Everyone over in Ireland and Scotland apparently drinks Barry’s tea. I finally gave in when I saw a box on the counter in an Irish series. I usually set a timer and take the teabag out after 4-5 minutes. With Barry’s 3-4 minutes is enough. However, Every once in a while I forget to take it out. With Irish breakfast tea, it becomes too bitter and then I have to start over. With Barry’s, despite how strong it is, It doesn’t seem to get bitter even though I leave the teabag in too long. I don’t use milk in my tea, but my friend who does says it’s great with milk.
