I rented a room at an AirBNB and wanted a little extra security while in the room. I found this device and ordered it in time to try it at home to feel comfortable with installing it. It was easy to figure out.It worked really well for my piece of mind at night. I plan on buying more and sharing them with women in my family. I’m also going to buy one for my granddaughters backpack for school. It might help delay an intruder from entering a room with an inward swing door.I highly recommend.

It is very easy to install. I highly recommend this lock. It definitely gives me more peace of mind at night.

The media could not be loaded.  I started solo traveling and saw a lot of videos recently how people trying to break into hotel rooms and I definitely didn’t like that so I bought these things and they were the best thing I’ve purchased recently .. honestly the instructions that come with it helps but I still have a way of messing things up that’s why the video is alittle special lol but it does have instructions for them and it definitely works

These are terrific! We tested them and yes easy to use.place over shock plate and close door take other side an slide over bolt.no ones opening that door quickly.kicking it would hopefully give you enough time to escape out another window or door. I strongly recommend these.especially for a cruise or hotel room when sleeping alone or just keeping family safer.very happy with purchasing these locks.I'd buy again an more.enough for whole family an friends.

So this works great at hone, I’m wondering if I can get through the airports with this in my carry on bag?

I'm an airline pilot, and I spend 15 nights per month in hotels in various countries. This small device fits in my hand and is easy to put in my luggage without adding bulk or weight. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions require a couple of minutes to make sure it's installed correctly the first time. After that, it's easy to install. No one can enter your room once it's installed, even if they have a key. The small chain just keeps the two pieces from being separated and isn't required for anything else. The metal piece slides into the wall hole for the deadbolt while the red, plastic piece wedges against the door. I have only encountered one door that was too tight for this to fit, but all other doors have worked perfectly.

I like this product despite my star rating average. The installation process can be awkward and take some time getting use to.I apparently one night had someone push on my door because the device was severely distorted but still functional. This is my replacement to the older kind

It does not fit all doors.
