So Far So Good
We are converts to eva foam wellies & being farmers we wear them a lot. Whilst I still consider crocs and their imitators just awful on about every front, wellies made out of eva are comfortable, durable, lightweight and warm. We've worn eva wellies (Demera), but not this brand, for the past 3 years and they have lasted for approx 12 months each time, only being retired because the the tread/grip wears away. Conventional wellies no matter the supposed quality always seem to split after about 3 months, either at the front of the ankle or more commonly on top of the big toe where your foot bends. Conventional wellies are also heavy and can be very expensive especially for the premium brands. Another bonus of eva wellies is that they are very forgiving of minor 'punctures' caused by barbed wire or bits off a wire brush; they seem to self heal. These eva wellies are slightly stiffer than our last pairs and the liner in my case seems to stay in the wellie better. I have kept the liner in, whilst hubby has removed his as in the past we have found that liners make our feet too warm and are bloomin annoying when they pull out as you're taking the wellie off. We bought size 8's that were Eu 42's as expected and Size 7's that were Eu 40's. I would have considered Eu 40 to be equivalent to a GB 6 and thought I would have to send them back but they were quite roomy and fit well especially with the liner removed. We've only been wearing them a few days so time will tell how good a deal they have been.*UPDATE* Turns out that they are not as durable as the Demera ones. Mine have developed a minor leak prbably from a barbed wire puncture and hubby's have torn on top of the big toe where your foot bends, left foot. I think this is due to the slightly stiffer/harder eva foam these are made out of; the treads are still great. So it's back to Demera for us (hubby has resurrected the left old Demera wellie and is now wearing an odd pair of wellies until the new ones appear).

IMPRESSED. Yep lightweight
The boot is made of a lightweight plastic, as opposed to rubber, so of course it's impermable. BUT it has a warm felt inner boot and they are as cosy as toast. The label says it'll work down to -30c. I have Metatarsal arch pain along the ball of my left foot so thin soled wellies just don't work. This has a thick plastic sole that gives more more pain protection. Keeping them. Made in Poland, the Pole's know about keeping warm and upright in cold winter's. So that's enough for me.

Not Hawthorn Proof Ouch
These are lightweight waterproof and comfortable. However I went for a walk along a path that had a Hawthorn hedge cut recently and found I stopped 4 times to pull Hawthorn from the button of the boots that had come through the bottom of them into my feet. Loved them up to that point.
