Love, Splat (Splat the Cat)

Splat's vulnerable personality and appealing appearance will win your heart! I've used this book with groups of 4 year olds and groups of 8 year olds and both classes quickly caught on to Splat's dilemma and personality. The older kids were immediately alert to Spike's role of the eogtistitical bully. The 4 year olds were captivated by Splat's repeated failure to match Spike.I bought both this and the other Splat book for my persoanl resources because I knew that these will be checked out frequently at our public library!I hope more Splat books are written!

Splat is the most adorable cat ever! I am studying to be a teacher and this book will absolutely be used in my classroom. He is so kid-friendly and his feelings are relatable. This book would be great for Valentine's Day, entertainment, or to talk about relationships. This book, as well as the other Splat books are a must for any teacher or child's library. I subbed for a kindergarten class a few days before Valentine's Day and they were glued to this book.

My 3 year old grandaughter discovered this book at the library. She loved it so much, I ordered one to keep in our collection. I am disappointed that it's a little smaller than the library book, but I guess that is reflected in the smaller price tag. I like hardcover books better than paperbacks, so I do think, this is worth it. Very cute story, and great for Valentines Day.

Splat returns in this lovely sequel. This book can easily be read as a stand alone.Splat has Valentine's Day card for all in his class especially one for Kitten. But wait, Spike like kitten too and his card is MUCH bigger. Splat loses hope but Kitten steps in with her card for Splat.There is not a large color palate here but it isn't necessary. Splat's emotions shine through and his big heart shows.This would be a good book to read to a young child.

This is the third Splat the Cat book I've bought for my 2 year old son, and it may be the best! It lives up to the other Splat books - well written with great illustrations. My son has chosen this as his bedtime story every night for two weeks. Can't recommend it highly enough. Just make sure when reading it to pull your child's ears and poke their belly at the appropriate time!

Fin book for valentines day

My two yr old girl loves cats. This was inexpensive maybe three dollars so I bought it and some other kindle books as a birthday gift. This is a Valentine the am story. It has cute pictures.

This book is GREAT! Read at my daughters Kindergarten Valentines Day party. Was a big hit with the kids

The artwork in the Splat the Cat books is very, very good. There is so much detail that you can look at the picture over and over again.I buy these books for myself but I take them to school to share with my year 6 class - 10/11 year olds. Both girls and boys like reading them.They are books that are good for two people to read together as I often see children pointing out and discussing the extra little details in the pictures, and the story.

Love these books by Rob Scotton. Lovely pictures, written well and enjoyable for my two year old.Beware of Splat books that aren't actually Rob Scotton ones as these are a poor quality and half the size of the original writers books

I think I liked Splat as much as the grandchildren. Endearing little character with humorous and very sweet stories attached.

This is such a funny story, my little boy thinks it's hilarious. Very good

Love these stories and this one didn't disappoint. Good illustrations too. Bought for a 5 and 7 year old who enjoy this range of stories. Highly recommend it.
