For a beater that gets left under a tree this is plenty good enough to get clean air in the cabin. The old one was mostly pine needles. This one fit perfectly and will probably never be checked or changed ever again.

It was an easy installation that lasted several minutes. The ECOGARD XC25082 Premium Cabin Air Filter fitted well in the 2002 Mercury Sable without much commotion. The car owner may not need to completely open the section holding the cabin filter. I suggested not going tool-less and glove-less for safety reasons.You can use clip pliers to remove the fasteners holding closed the cabin under the hood. The product came with instructions. The makers offer a toll-free number, it's on the back of the box. Once installed, the impact was immediate, the air inside the vehicle felt cleaner, crisper, far less dense and stiff. It is essential the compartment is sealed closed after installation using the same clips if possible.

The quality of the filter look fine. But the filter is bigger than the slot. So it has to be deformed putting in.
