Sailors' Secret Premium Ginger | The Natural Remedy for Motion Sickness 36 Capsules/250 MG

I bought these for a cruise, since I do sometimes get motion sickness. I ended up having to use them before the cruise because I woke up one morning with a really bad case of vertigo. My stomach got super-rocky, it was miserable. I decided to try these ginger capsules and within 30 minutes my stomach had really calmed down even though I still had the dizziness. I only had to take one dose because the vertigo got better over the course of a day or so and my stomach never acted up again. I was very impressed that it worked so well! I never ended up taking it during the cruise because I didn't get any motion sickness, but for sure I'll keep it around the house for when I need it!

I sometimes get motion sick and sometimes I don't there isn't really any rhyme or reason to it. So on a recent whale watching trip I took these before we started out and took two more before we started heading back, and I did not get one bit nausea, but since I took them before any symptoms set in I can't say for sure they worked. I can say that they did not irritate my stomach at all which is huge for, and they are way better than taking something that makes you drowsy.

Bought this and the "sea bands" wrist things in preparation for a first time ever cruise. I took the ginger capsules on only night I even felt at all queasy and it worked right away. I didn't give it a 5 star simply because I didn't have a bad case of seasickness - only the one instance of nausea. Seemed to work, didn't upset my stomach and breath was nice after I took the capsules

I used this product before snorkeling in the ocean, and I still felt quite sick. I didn't vomit, but I also quickly got out of the water when I realized my stomach wasn't happy with the constant rocking from the waves. This may have decreased the nausea, but it's difficult to know for sure.

I took two the evening before our fishing trip. I took two one hour before I went deep sea fishing, and guess what, I stayed seasick the whole trip. Didn't work for me.

This is a great product. My husband and I cruise the Chesapeake Bay from May through November. The first time we went sailing I got motion sickness. After two miserable days I found this product at a West Marine store. That was 12 years ago and I use it every time we sail. It not only prevents motion sickness, but it will stop it after it starts. The down side is the expiration dates are not listed on the outside of the box. It is on the inside packaging. I had two boxes that expired in July 2015 and ordered 4 more through Amazon; two had a 2017 date but two had the 2015 expiration. I located the Sailors’ Secret website and phone number and called – 4 times- and left messages asking if the product could still be used. They never called back. So while the product is good, the company does a poor job supporting it. I found similar ginger tablets at other stores like GNC. I will try them in the future.

I am sensitive to motion but don't like to take some of the motion sickness products like Bonine because they make me terribly drowsy, so I tried Sailors' Secret. I used it on two flights, neither of which were too turbulent, and also on a bus when we were relegated to the back on a curvy, bumpy road, a recipe for nausea. It seems to work and does not make me drowsy. I did not have an opportunity to use it in severe turbulence. It's worth a try because you aren't knocked out for the day like with the other products.
