A fun and comprehensive book, but perhaps not best for beginners
I have several of Chris Hart's books and am pleased with all of them. This one is my fave! It is a very comprehensive book that takes you through the process of drawing cartoons. While a beginner could get decent results, I think this book is more for those with some drawing experience. These are more like guidelines for drawing cartoons and not a step-by-step tutorial. You will find people and animals in this book along with different environments to put your characters in. He also includes ideas for drawing shoes, hands, eyes, mouths and a lot of other things. It's a great book for those with some drawing experience and a good book for beginners to work up to.

Great introduction to the fundamentals of drawing cartoon figures
There are two important parts to this instruction manual. On is...How to get the right anatomic proportions in male and female figures at various ages. The other is the various ways to create expressions that need no words to understand the emotions.

Totally recommend this book
I just got this book yesterday and I haven't read all off the book but I have scrubbed throw it and so far I love it. I was looking for a book with little amount of text and a lot of pictures. There is of course text which is very good to have with good and handy information. I bought 2 other Christopher Hart books which are one the way and if they are similar to that one I wont be disappointed.
