John James needles are the best. That wasn’t a concern. But notably, Egyptian Thread Co. made sure these needles were thoughtfully packaged with plenty of added rigidity to ensure that the needles wouldn’t break. Made it from WA to GA in perfect condition. Much appreciated!

Excellent needles
This is my favorite brand of leather working needles. They were carefully packaged and delivered quickly. I loved the extra touch of the stamp on the envelope. Thanks Egyptian Thread!

Sizes 003 and 002 - are identical in size and shape
Thought they would be smaller than my 002 but they were exactly the same size: 004 is the next size down. JJ’s numbering and sizes are confusing.Kept them - but ordered the 004s.The coolest thing is that the eye is integrated and reenforced into the structure of the needle - making it less likely to break. For leather saddle stitching - these are the best needles. You can get a 1.2mm thread through the eye of these… and a 1mm tiger ritza thread fits comfortably.
