On first examination all seemed to be well, however, on subsequent examination found only one stud of each size, which , given if you are shelving you will need a minimum of four, seems miserly in the extreme, causing you to perform the same task four times for one shelf.

Very useful in the workshop

Been using dowels for connecting flat pieces of wood together for many years. I admit there have been times when I have really struggled. Then I saw this and thought it might be of some help. I was wrong, it was and is a GREAT help. So long as you use it as per instructions, all will be well.The unit is made to last and is an extremely good and simple design. So now I am able to guarantee good results every time, thus saving a lot of frustration.Recommended.

This dowel jig is cheap and does the job. It's not the most accurate jig as it has to be firmly held in place whilst drilling for the dowels. It's possible to move the jig without realising plus, because it's not clamped in place, it's possible that as you drill into the job, the drill can wander. I also found the 8mm dowels supplied with the kit a little bit on the loose side. A bag of dowels from Toolstation were fine. Would I recommend this jig? If you only have a few dowels to fit then this will do the job. If on the other hand you plan to use lots of dowels and accuracy is really important, then you should pay more and get a better jig.

This lack of stability and control further compounded the damage inflicted on my project.The Dowel Jig Kit, advertised as a comprehensive solution for woodworking enthusiasts, fell short of even the most basic expectations. Instead of facilitating precise dowel hole drilling, it caused more harm than good, resulting in a frustrating and costly experience.In conclusion, I cannot express enough my disappointment with the Dowel Jig Kit. Its blunt drill bits and ineffective guiding mechanisms led to disastrous consequences, rendering it unsuitable for serious woodworking projects. I strongly advise against investing in this kit for anyone seeking reliable and precise dowelling tools.
