Nice little side lamp. Good perfect amount of lighting.

I use this lamp to light my face when I'm web sessions and when it is grey and dark. It also just makes me happier on dismal days. The light isn't glaring into your face like a ring light would because of the band and that is why I bought it. Great purchase!

The lamp is beautiful and very bright but doesn’t work to turning on/off with a smart switch and that is very important for me

This little LED accent lamp is more a decoration used for ambiance rather than for reading by or doing other work next to. For that reason, I am sure there are many ways you can use this to cozy up a room, but it does not light up a table enough to you can work on your stamp collection. If you like what I would describe as a minimalist looking item from the Space Age – the late 1960’s and early 1970s shows and movies like Space 1999 décor - then this is for you. It does also remind me of the Scandinavian furniture of that time (i.e. what is now referred to as ‘mid-century.’)It does not plug into a wall, but has a USB cord, and so far I have only tried it next to my laptop. The cord is about 5 ft. That is a draw back. It would make for a nice light for a night stand in a bedroom but unless you have a USB plug nearby, it won’t work. It has three choices of light: a cozy warm glow for the first, second is a more frosty almost bluish light, and the third a brighter white light. These three choices can be adjusted from very dim to bright along eight different settings in-between. For me, I would prefer a regular wall socket plug, so I can use it in more locations in the home, and a longer cord. But the lamp itself is pretty nice in how it looks and the variety of lights and choices of brightness. I would rate it a 5 for looks and variety of light settings, but I am going with an overall 4 for the drawback of a USB plug, and $29 seems a little high for an small accent lamp.
