Got done working on a 7.5 Ton commercial condenser and it works great, very well made and simple to use.

This is a pro-quality device. If you want to charge your car AC perfectly this thing works well. Very good value and easy to use. Put your Refrigerant bottle on the scale. Zero it, then start filling to factory spec. Perfect every time. Comes with a nice carrying case too.

First: this ‘new’ scale was delivered in a box sealed with green painters tape. OBVIOUSLY a previously returned item sold as new. I would dock it a star but the scale works perfectly and has no damage at all.

Convenient to use, accurate in measurement, and easy to carry.

I purchased multiple refrigerant scales to make certain I get accuracy. This scale performed okay, just not consistent and not perfect. I used precise weights of various sizes to determine accuracy. I varied across multiple weight sizes simultaneously and I placed weights on every part of the scale surface. This scale is accurate within 2 grams. It is consistently off by 1-2 grams when testing with weight or without sometimes being accurate. I noticed it fluctuates by 2 grams sometimes with nothing being placed on it and zero air movement. All scales were tested on the same flat/level surface.

The scale works great...

This scale replaces a 30 something year old scale that has lost its repeatability and probably accuracy. After looking at many offerings on Amazon, I picked the Elitech with the lower maximum capacity to take advantage of the increased resolution and accuracy. I prefer the 9-volt battery used in this scale as I keep a supply on hand for other instruments in my shop. This scale is beefy and appears to be well made, better that the old one it replaces. Tests with various weights show incredible repeat measurements and accuracy using known weights. The remote has a long coiled cord to keep the readout at the gauge set for ease of use. The scale when zeroed to a recovery tank will measure the recovered refrigerant, and when zeroed to the recharge tank, will accurately indicate the recharge weight in pounds and ounces. Only a little math on the phone calculator app was required as the test vehicle, a BMW, uses a fraction for the ounce measure and the scale uses a decimal for the ounce measure. Leave it to BMW to muck things up. I did not try the other scale option of Kg. This scale rates a solid 5 stars in all categories and I expect many years of service.
