Pink Floyd - Ultimate Guitar Play-Along (Ultimate Play-Along)

I'm giving all low ratings to warn buyers about the new & improved "Online Access Crap"Okay here's the deal. Would be 5 stars, I Love these Play Along. Love Pink Floyd! (BUT), I hate the new & improved (Online Access Crap!) Yep I bought one of those too! NOTE: however I bought this I think 2 yrs. ago with CD & am just now getting around to a review. I'm reading reviews now that they are selling some with the online play along crap. If that is the case please look at my review is a 1 star!So I'm warning you! I'd contact the seller if the CD is included. Maybe it won't matter to you or keep reading.I emailed talking with a company representative; he was saying we're going to this because that is what most people prefer. That's BS. Now they charge more give less.I agree with another reviewer "Times are a changing !" "where's the CD? "Boo on Hal Leonard for going cheap. This is a real deterrent for me buying any more of your book. I've purchased 13 others from them with CD. Times are a changing.I wanted one volume with the O.A. really bad and ended up purchasing it after giving it the 1 star rating. Only myself to blame.What you need to know about their new & improved online access (No CD with books anymore) IF YOU WANT TO USE THE SLOW DOWN TEMPO OR PITCH FEATURE you are forced to do your practice online. I always got kicked off if I needed a extra long break. Having to log back in re-enter my code # re-choose the song I had just been working on. Re-set up all tempo or pitch changes. All because as their representative had told me people prefer the new and improved online access. Also the tempo feature only offers 4 choice increments unlike the old which offered limitless options. True as the sales rep suggested you can down load the songs to your computer then copy them to CD or iPhone. But, unless you have a program that slows it down on your iPhone. Or with a program to copy it to your PC at a favorite slowed down speed; only 1 choice. Or of course own the full Tempo/ Pitch version (are you seeing where this is going?) Always less for more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$I am hoping all buyers of the new & improved online access BS. will speak out to this company. They took a good thing & then took it away! Be advised, the playback features including tempo speed change and loop are only available online at the Hal Leonard web site using the access code. Once you have put in your code which is inside the song book, click on play and the player will come up. Just downloading the tracks DOES NOT download the player. This was a source of confusion for me and I hope to prevent it from happening to anyone else. The song book does not convey these instructions clearly. It reads like you are required to have CD's for playback features. There are two versions of this book. The older books had two CD's included which I'm assuming had the playback player on them. The new version supplied by Amazon and B&N just has the access code and NO CD's are included even though their listings make you think you are going to receive CD's with the book. You will not, so 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Thanks to Hal Leonard's service team for helping me understand. If you want the book with CD's try eBAY. All that out of the way it's a fun product. Enjoy!

Great resource for guitar pickers who aren't musicians and can't remember the tune in their heads. I remember the music..... but when I read guitar tab without the benefit of actually reading music..... I can't get the tune right. The jam tracks immediately jog your memory and enable you to play along. They work great. The books are excellent quality, large paperback format and easy to read tab.

This book has couple of Pink floyd songs that I wanted correct tabs for. As a plus it comes with a CD play along track. You can practice along with the CD and hear how it is suppose to sound. For couple of songs that I wanted, I think it's worth it. And if I'm in the mood, I can try some other songs also.

This is an excellent book for those wanting to learn some Floyd songs! The tab is accurate for those, like myself, that don't read music (yet). The CDs are nice as well, providing a "cover" version of the song and a version with the guitar track removed so you can practice. What really shines about the CDs is the fact that you can loop sections of the music so you can get it down and slow down the track without changing the pitch! You can also change the key. Pretty nifty!Definitely worth the cost!

Has most of the songs I wanted. I always try to get books with the play-a-long cd or on line access. But when you call the play a long on your computer, you have to punch "play" (not "download " to get the speed up/down control board. Nice feature for the price. The musicians aren't world class but they hit the right notes at the right time.

I just recently discovered the Hal Leonard Play Along series, and I can't get enough. It's a lot of fun learning how to play songs that you could never figure out before. I'm anxious to see new additions of these DVD's.

I can only speak for Comfortably Numb solos - but there are quite a bit of errors in the tab for both solos of that song. I am comparing the tab from this book to what the consensus seems to be on internet tab sites and the book I got here on Amazon which seems to be very accurate.  Alfred Pink Floyd Anthology Guitar Tab Book
