79:04 FAQ 1. 79:04 erros are generic. Maybe your formatter board is bad. Maybe your hard disk on the formatter board is bad. Maybe its something else. Not a great answer, but that is how HP engineered this printer. 2. You can't fix your hard disk by replacing it with a blank one. The boot code is writen in HP-UNIX. 3. The later model formatter boards with SATA drives are better than the earlier IDE ones. 4. HP part numbering system is confusing. However, all the part numbers refer to the same part. They rev up with each new lot released for the consumer. 5. Don't waste your time calling HP support.
