TV Lamp XL-2200 / XL-2200U with Housing for Sony TV and 90 Days Replacement Warranty

I just received my new lamp today. I popped the new lamp inside and the tv came right on as expected. i will say that this lamp is pretty bright, and i will report update later on. for the money though, this lamp works for me. i will note that the lamp has no openings to disperse heat as in the Philips one which has screens on each end. im not sure if that will make a difference in lamp life. The housing that the new lamp came in looked exactly the same. it even had a hex screw as my original did. 5/22 will update month to month

I'm going to give this a starting 5* review. I purchased the incorrect bulb, as there are two types for a Sony WEGA TV. I would like to warn others first and foremost about that. That bulb was close to 90 bucks. It was returned and I purchased two of these in its place, as the price was so much less. The 1* reviews were killing me, but I bought these. Installed on 12/30 (we were without the TV all of the Christmas holiday!). It works flawlessly, there is a YouTube video on installation (again, there are TWO {at least} bulbs; make sure yours is the correct one!) and I installed it in a matter of minutes. DO NOT handle the bulb with bare hands. I have a feeling the oils on other's fingers is probably why the bulbs blew out so fast. Time will tell. I used gloves. I also cleaned off the prism inside the TV, which had a white coating on it. The original bulb is what blew out last week, so there was quite a bit of dust and grime inside. This bulb has added a huge amount of picture brightness and quality. It is a "night and day" difference. I'm NOT sure what to think ... It works Great, when it works ... but if I turn My TV "Off" ... it takes like 5 or 6 times to get it to "Stay On". So ... I just leave it on 24/7, and hope for the best. I would suggest that if You still have the Old Bulb (and It works, just NOT so Bright), hang onto It ... just in case.

The part was easy to install and fixed the TV - first try, no repairman visit. Took 5 minutes. The lamp warning light never lit, but the TV was shutting itself down about once a minute. I replaced the lamp and it works fine now.

The bulb was a perfect match and easy to install. It also arrived on time. My tv was bright and like new at first but seemed to fade a little, only after few days. But is still working good. Wondering if it is the bulb, I followed the instructions to the letter. Wondering if I should try another bulb, but don't want to waste the money if it going to do the same thing again.

Right on time delivery. I installed the TV Lamp XL-2200 /XL-2200U with Housing for Sony TV and 1-Year Replacement...when is was received.The picture of TV becomes brighter than before, almost like the original picture. My wife likes it. Thus far it works out, so far so good.We will see if it can last for 1-year.

I ordered two lamps and they arrived the next day as expected. The replacement is quick and easy and they included a long allen wrench in case you don't have one. From opening the box to getting the TV back up and running took 20 minutes.

I never write reviews but i was so upset when my tv when out i was going to go buy another one even though i cant really afford it right now tv and gaming are my primary sources for entertainment so i was willing to go into debt i did a little research and found it was my lamp going bad causing the tv to black out every 2min so i looked around on here bought it for the one year warranty but i dont think ill need it went in easy and looks better than before great product im now looking on Craigslist for someone who has one with a blown bulb for my bedroom lol
